I need to know if I passed, I'm going crazy. I'm 28 and 6'2 weigh about 215 and I don't really exercise that much. Didn't smoke for 6 months, then I took about 4 hits off a bowl on the 14th, 2 weeks later took about another 6 hits, a week later took 3 hits, and was tested 14 days later. This was a lab urine test. It has been 16 days (12 business) now and no word. If I passed then they wont say anything but if I didn't does it take this long? Would it be out of my system by then? Can anybody give me some answers.

If you had not smoked for 2 wks prior to the test and only smoked occasionally prior to that the THC (drug component of marijuana) would likely have left your system by then. In all likely hood you passed the test.
Take a deep breath.

Well its good that you have stopped. That definately is a start. However you most likely will not pass this drug test in 3 days. There are gimics that people will swear by but it is really rare that any of these actually work. Alcohol will not clean out your system. Its not good to replace one addiction with another either. Drug and Alcohol addiction counselors have told me that with heavy use over a long period of time they have found that they have been able to detect pot in the system up to 45 days. Honestly if you think you are going to fail the test do not take it. Its better that you wait and reapply for the job in a couple months than take the drug test and fail and never have a chance at working for that company.

A urine test usually only takes 24 - 48 to confirm results. You probably tested positive as TCH accumulates in your fatty cell and stays there for long periods of time, as it is not water soluble. Even after 6 months of no smoking you could still show trace amounts in you system. Remember the Canadian Snowboarder who won gold but trace amounts still in his system even after he quit smoking when he had qualified for the team 6 months prior. They let him keep the gold, by the way. He had also spent time around others who had smoked - so 2nd hand smoke could have played a part.

From what I have been told my the medics in the military, pot, even one hit, will stay in the system for 30 days. There will also be trace evidence in a person's hair for 90 days, so if a person tests positive and try's to fight it, they can always take a hair sample and confirm or deny it. So with your situation, I am sorry to say, you didn't pass. Also, once one test comes up hot (positive), they will usually retest the sample to confirm that it is a true positive before they release the results, just in case.

For moderate regular use, 30 days are required to pass a test.
For a one time use, 3 days will usually be enough.
From your reported use and personal info, I would say you are NOT likely to pass, but there is so much variability it is possible.

I don't want to lecture you but stop smoking pot all together. Problem solved.
That aside, I doubt you passed.
