The color of the pus tells me this is a bacterial infection. Pass this on to your aunt or uncle exactly as I've written here:
Call the doctor now if:
She's acting "sick"
Her eye or eyelid is very red or very swollen
Complains of blurry vision
If she has a fever greater than 104
Call the doctor within 24 hours if:
She has only the pus and no other symptoms
Is she is prescribed an antibiotic, her parents must wash their hands before and after eye care. Use warm water and cotton balls to remove the drainage, dried or liquid, before applying the antibiotic and several times a day.
At the moment, she's contagious. Everyone wash your hands after handling her and avoid contact with her face. After she's on an antibiotic for 24 hours, she's no longer contagious. If the drainage is minimal, she can also return to daycare.
The discharge should clear up in 3-4 days but the resness may continue for as long as a week.
Call the doctor now if the eye worsens or if she develops any of the symptoms listed in "Call the doctor now". Write this down.

Sounds like this infection has gone on for awhile. It really needs to be treated by a medical doctor as soon as possible. With the limited information you provide, it can not be said whether the condition is infectious. But, let's assume it is since children that age do pick up all sorts of bugs/illnesses. Pink eye is the first thing to come to mind and that it is highly contagious. Get the child to a doctor ASAP. The doctor will prescribe an appropriate treatment.

I am not a Doctor, and I cannot make an accurate assessment without seeing her, but this sounds like conjunctivitis.
There are three kinds of conjunctivitis: bacterial, viral, and allergic.
Is anyone in your home ill? Germs from the sick person may have gotten into her eye.
Viral and bacterial conjunctivitis are contagious, so do not allow her to touch or rub the eye and then touch someone else.
You should be certain to wash her hands and yours frequently and not to share any towels.
It can be cleared up with eye drops or ointment, but you need a prescription for those.
Not life threatening but very contagious. The sooner you see a Doctor, the better...
Hope this is helpful!

Yes, this is very contagious. It is called conjunctivitis, or commonly known as pink eye. It is an infection of the eye. You would normally wake up with your eyes sealed shut. She needs to be put on an antibiotic cream. It should clear up in a week to 10 days. Very contagious though, so make sure you wash your hands and keep other children away from her.

Generally when there is puss, there is infection. Most all of the time when there is infection, you will need to see the vet for possible antibiotic treatment. You dont want anything bad to happen to your puppy's eye. Also, if you have other animals it could be contagious. Please use a warm compress to the puppy;s eye for a few minutes at a time to remove the puss or any dried on material. Wash your hands carefully after handling the puppy and take it to the vet as soon as you can.

I don't know about puss, but if you have green pus coming from your eye you should get to the doctor immediately.

It really depends on what the disease is, but it is possible that it could be contagious if she has a certain disease. You should take her to the doctor before it gets worse.
