If you believe in god 100%, and your actions are governed by this, you must realize that the terrorists also believe in their god 100%. They pray 5 times a day. They feel they are directed by god to kill infidels, and that their actions are sanctioned by god.

Now, you can say their god is false, but you can't really know. In fact, in the old testament god behaved just like the terrorists behave. So as a god-believer, you have to leave open the possibility that they are right. Since you tolerate and even encourage believe in god, you are equally responsible for their actions.

As an atheist, I don't believe in any god. I believe running planes into buildings and killing thousands of people is simply wrong. I actually have the absolute moral high ground here, whereas if you believe in god you cannot claim that the terrorists were absolutely wrong. You have to leave open the possibility that they are right.

As a believer, are you responsible for 9/11?

Only "MY" God is right, your God is wrong!
This is the thought that motivates their actions.
So your enlightenment rings true.
The only reason they come after us, is because we can't (won't) stay out of their business. And "our" motive for sticking our nose into their business is the belief in the Xian God and what their good book says they are supposed to do.
I'm just waiting for all of them to kill each other off!

Pantheism will survive! ; )

No one as a believer in God is responsible for 9-11. The terrorists who flew the planes into buildings and killed thousands of innocent people are responsible. It is insane to say that just because any American believes in God that they are responsible for 9-11. God be it in the Old or New Testament never once condoned the killing of innocent people whether they live in North America or Saudi Arabia. And this definitely includes the God of the Old Testament who is known for his judgment as well as his mercy and goodness,(read the book and you will finally get the point) By the way there is only one true God. Read the B-I-B-L-E and you will understand!

A dog is an animal but not every animal is a dog.

The fact that the terrorists you refer to believe their actions to be justified by their God, who is indeed the same because He is the One, (Allah means The God) does not mean that this is indeed the case. In fact most Muslims disapproved of this barbaric action. The actions described in the Old Testament have nothing to do with the God I know to be. The whole of the Bible was written and interpreted by people. God, to me, is the living entity that includes the entire universe, of which we are a part. Some parts in the Bible refer to this, but the book as a whole does not represent any absolute truth.

If all theist are responsible for the actions of a few fanatics, does that make all atheist responsible for the action of any other atheist?

When will you take responsibility for the 118 million history says were killed by the atheist governments of Russia, China, Cuba, North Korea and North Vietnam in the last century?

Anything, including atheism, can be twisted to evil.

I believe in a God, the true God, that is a God of love. As a believer, I am no more responsible for 9-11 than you as a non believer are. Because if you do not believe in their "god", you are an infedel as well. I once heard, I would rather live my life as if there was a God, then to not, and die and find out there really is. Food for thought. My God is an awesome God, come try Him on, I promise, you will like HIM!!!

There are many gods. The false gods are no gods at all, they're simply worshipped as such, and worshipping them is as if you worshipped nothing. Allah is a false god. He has no son because he doesn't exist. If those who say that they worship the One True and Living God say that Allah is the Arabic word for God then who is the Allah who has no son? There is only one True and Living God. Jesus Christ is his son and is savior and Lord.

Those who are responsible for the bombing of the twin towers are not Islamic. They are using Islam as a scapegoat, trying to foment war between Islam and the rest of the world with the intent on creating a totalitarian world with one supreme dictator.

edit:

They are for the most part, rich and powerful international bankers who are members of elite societies, and they are totally anti-christ.

I think your statement on this subject shows really flawed logic and is really bad theology. I do believe in a higher being and I don't believe that we are like pawns in a game of chess where God plays around with all and causes things to happen.

I believe we all have free will and that sometimes people do things in the name of God to justify their actions. The fact that religious zealots rammed a plane into a building does not cause me to question whether there's a god or not. It causes me to question why America is hated so much that people want to do us harm.

I'm confident that you've never read the Old Testament.

It's kinda funny how often atheism and self-righteousness go together.

Just because a terrorist says God is on his side, doesn't mean God is on his side. Duh.

P.S. Brittany Marie, you are so dumb it's scary. Wow.

"you have to leave open the possibility that they are right" ... I leave open the possibility that you and I and every one of us is a robot controlled by Martians. But it's not likely. So I don't worry about it.

Have a nice day.

I don't mean to offend you, but you're basing your argument upon a false premise. Muslims do not worship the same God that Christians and Jews worship--they worship the false prophet Muhammed, and the devil Baal. The God of the Old Testament demanded sacrifice--but when humans had evolved enough, he sent Jesus to nullify those sacrifices. Arabs worship Baal, a demon who insists that they conquer the world and subjugate the people of God to his infernal desires. Muslims worship the devil. No, I'm not responsible for 9/11--God did not cause that to happen. Satan did--and Muslims are responsible, as they worship Satan.
