there are ways to recycle without a long process..such as use it as scratch paper...give it to an after school program for scratch drawing paper...give it to a pet store..or someone with pets in cages...they can use it in the bottom of the cage after running it thru the shredder..use it in your yard...around your flowers to keep the weeds away...

All of these people are correct.
Except please don't just toss them out. If you decide you don't want them then do please give them to a school.
Although the best way is to put it into the ground. So long as it doesn't have any harmful chemicals on them you can put them into the ground.
Or even make paper with it or use it as gift wrapping or something in a positive way.
I have left 3 sites you can check on for recycling paper.
Good luck deciding, there are many ways you can do this.

You need to break it down into very small pieces...sometimes a blender is good for this, but obviously not for large quantities at a time! Add lots of water, so that it becomes pasty.

This might be a good opportunity to add in other stuff, in order to make the paper more pretty. Other papers in nice colors are good, as are small pieces of fabric or threads.

Once you have it broken down, put it in your kitchen sink, along with more water, so that the small particles can be evenly distributed. You can use a window screen for the next step...put the screen into the sink, swirl the water/paper mixture around with your hand, and then pull the screen out of the water as evenly and flatly as possible. Leave it to dry, and then cut to whatever size you need.

Hi there, I think it is a great idea to donate it to a school or pre-school... I collect paper from work that has been printed on one side and give it to my daugters pre-school... the kids love it!!

Paper that has been damaged by water would be great for the kids as it adds a little extra dimension to the paper that could fire their imaginations!!

Making paper sounds cool, but if you aren't inclined that way, shred it & either compost it or use for: packing material when mailing gifts, animal cage litter, mix with potting mix to help hold moisture, paper mache' for a big 3D school project.

it can be composted if you have a compost bin or you can make homemade paper from it. to make paper, tear it up into small pieces and let soak in a bowl of water for 2 days. use a blender to puree and then pour the mash onto a screen. let dry and peel off. you can add color using food coloring. i have also mixed in plant clippings for texture and used as cards for special occasions.

A pre-school, school or daycare would probably love to have this paper if it is at all useable. If it's moldy, then I would say not to even try due to the possible illness that could occur.

You could use it to make new paper.

Here is a link to a recipe. http://www.pioneerthinking.com/makingpaper.html

In addition to the materials listed, you can also mix in flower petals for color or you can wait until the pressing step and add flowers, leaves, etc at that step to make beautiful handmade sheets of paper.

I just recently learned how to do that at a scrapbooking class. The instructions that we used came from this website I think. I hope it is useful to you.

Well I do have an idea...there is nothing more my grand kids love to do is draw on grandma's PRINTER PAPER. :(

They wouldn't care if it is a bit wrinkled.

This is my first time responding so I am not sure how we contact each other yet.

Thank you
Terri
