why is God destoying the planet with global warming?

He is saving us from the New ice Age that scientists were telling us about twenty years ago. Check it out for yourself. Read some 20 year old Newsweeks and Time magazines. You will see how science got it wrong again.

He isn't. Al Gore is an idiot, and this planet will not be destroyed. Period. God stated quite clearly that he created this earth to be inhabited forever. This is where we will all be living in the eternity. Heck, not even Satan wants the planet destroyed.
Its not gonna happen. The age will change, but the terafirma will not. Global warming is just another way to try to keep control of the people. The Eisenhower Administration even named it as one of the things the government could use to keep the people in control in a time of peace. They were concerned that the people will rise up against the government, if there isn't a good reason for the government to be here, ie; protection from other countries.
Other things listed were:
*possible attacks from other planets.
*plague - communicable disease
(this is why some think that Aids was government-designed)

I don't know about these, but I do know that this planet will not be destroyed.

That is like saying why does God let all the suffering happen in the world. Also, another way of looking at it, are all the idiots behind the wheel of a car with the bumper sticker that says Jesus Saves. Many of these people first should not be behind the wheel, because they are to chicken to press the gas, becasue they believe that Jesus will save them from an accident. Then they wonder why there areso many cases of road rage and accidents on the road.

God is NOT destroying this world, we are. God gave us ALL free will and free choice, meaning we are all responsible for screwing up our planet.

It is NOT God that are driving the Gas Guzzling SUVs ... we are.
It is NOT God wanting to cool our over sized houses ... we are.
It is NOT God passing STDs and other infectious diseases ... we are.
It is NOT God injecting cows and chickens and other animals, just to make them fatter OR last longer on the shelves ... again WE ARE.

So again how can we say God is at fault for all of our social ills (including Global Warming), when he gave us all the ability to chose for ourselves.

First of all, God is not destroying the planet with global warming. If anything we are the ones who are destroying the planet. If you read in Genesis, God gave us dominion over the earth. God told us to take care of the planet. You cannot blame God for the problems that we are creating from our own free will.

Mm, I really don't think you can really provide any reasonable argument to blame God for destroying the planet with global warming. All I can see is people doing it. Isn't it about time people accepted the consequences for their own actions?

Anyway, the good news is God has promised to do something about it - to step in and rectify what man has ruined. The Bible promises in Revelation 11:18 that He "will bring to ruin those ruining the earth."

Global warming would be mild next to what he CAN AND WILL DO! Nope, God will destroy the earth with Fire and " hailstones the size of a talent" according to revelation. Then he will remold the earth into eden again for the millenial reign. Interesting book, revelation. Sorry, it's not an act of God, but humanity. Just like someone on a shooting spree at the mall - evil or irresponsible action or poor choices. And I do not believe the planet is being destroyed, just changed. We would have thought the earth was being destroyed had we lived as cold descended during the last ice age. I almost feel like humans would keep natural geological and climatalogical events from happening if they could.

--ILLUSTRATION--When say for instance somebody buys their children a plant & hope they will take care of it, simply by watering it & making sure its got sunlight etc. ---AND all of a sudden they start pulling the leaves off & start gluing false leaves that looked prettier to them than the real live leaves, and also start putting car oil in the soil
----WHO IS AT FAULT--for the death of that plant?-- I would hope you would say the children! ESPECIALLY if the father gave careful instruction & they knew what he said and agreed to take care of the plant!

--WHY WOULD you put the blame on God when I am sure you heard all about how humans have RAPED THE EARTH in the many greedy ways that humans & business could think of doing?

--LETS just breakdown the RAPING that has taken place--USING EXPLICIT comparison:

SCENARIO--When an innocent woman is RAPED in what condition is she left physically, if you see evidence of blood on her, her cloths are ripped her face is beaten, her fingers nails are broken while fighting her assailant off, AND SHE LOOKS like her emotions & mental condition has been brought to the edge?

--THINK ABOUT THE EARTH being in place of the woman VIOLATED--and maybe you can use a little sense AND put the blame where it should be put!

--NEVER BEFORE in history has man put the earth in as a UNSTABLE CONDITION as the earth is now.
--THE EARTHS curative powers are marvelous, that even all the scientists in the world cannot even come close to putting it together!
--SO WHY WILL humans not allow the earth to stablize itself , its certainly has its own power to do so? SO THEN WHY will men NOT LET IT HAPPEN?
--WHY IN THE WORLD should God step in and make ALL THE BAD AFFECTS BY THE RAPING go away magically?
--DID YOU know some rapists, after a woman has recovered go back and rape her again!
--SAME with the earth, they think well that slut(attitude to the earth as a rapist might have to his VICTIM), WHICH they call her now that they did her--will recover for me again----SICK!

--HE INDEED SEES THE RAPING & he indeed will bring an end to the VIOLATING by bringing an end to the violators!

--That indeed is his sole solution, and Jesus foretold the very same scenario.. when he taught us to pray for armaggedon by means of his kingdom " .....thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven......."Mtt 6:9,10!

Read a little prophecy and all that you see, war, famine, calamity and disease are mentioned as increasing in the end times. Amazing stuff in the bible. Written that long ago and we are seeing it rolled out right in front of us. Oh, by the way, when you see the scientist saying we (man) can save ourselves? That also is foretold. Fun stuff to watch.

Being a christian I have no problem whether it is God or man who brings the fulfillment of prophecy. Either way, it is fulfilled.

Actually God does control everything...and global warming is the way God is dealing with the infestation of lice (called man)that the earth has caught, probably from some aliens visiting this planet......pretty soon the earth will be warm and cozy, man will be gone, and earth can return to it's intended paradise state.....
