Should we have separate forums for all religions within the R&S section? Even Athiest and Agnostic ones? Do you think that would stop all the arguing and bashing and hate, or do you think people would still deliberately go into another section just to put others down?

That's not very nice Monica! Athiests should have a place where they can bi tch about Christians, lol. And, yes, I AM a Christian. I'd just like them to do their bit chin somewhere else haha

The forums have already been separated enough. This forum should be part of the Mythology & Folklore section.

I like having one forum for everything. There's enough separation among the different religions and atheists that it's good to have a forum where everyone can come and express their thoughts, ask questions, and argue. Honestly, I don't mind the arguing, bashing, or hate, it comes with the territory. I would hope the majority of people don't get offended by it since it's just a forum.

Yes, there should definitely be separate forums. It will not stop ALL the arguments or trolls, but people could find specific questions about the spiritual grounds they are familiar with, rather than wading through a hodge-podge of random questions, linked only by the heading of "Religion & Spirituality."

I am a member of secular humanist forums. I don't particularly care for them--I rarely go there.

Frankly, it's dull to go to a place where everyone agrees with you. No real discussion can come from it. So...if they separated out the various religions/philosophies/spiritualities, I'd rarely if ever be in my assigned group.

Deliberately go into the other sections to put others down?

The amount of egos and superiority complexes hanging out in the other site would be annoying for them.

No, the free exchange of ideas between people of different beliefs is what makes this forum so interesting to me. I find some entertainment value in the bickering, and every so often a truly interesting question.

I think we need to stay one and just deal with the negativity. Maybe one day the "light bulb will go on" for even one person and they will stop putting others down and live and let live. There is no cause to criticize the beliefs of others, but only to try to lovingly win them to what you believe might be the "life saving" opinion. Nastiness never helped anyone!

What a stupid idea. Those who come to spread hate would still go to the section of those they hate. It won't change anything. Otherwise they couldn't get a rise out of anyone. Think logically on this one.

Not everyone is trying to put others down. Most of the time, I keep my comments in check (some of the questions are just too extreme to resist.) If we seperated everyone, it would be boring. We wouldn't be able to learn about other beliefs....which is what I'm here to do.

If you think people would keep their preeching to their own section, then you have not observed the Christians preaching in other sections of Yahoo Answers. I have seen preaches in the history, litriture, art and other sections
