The frozen, blended version of the original Margarita. This version has a nice, light sour lime taste but there are many more variations with almost any flavor you may want. If the mix is too thick once blended, add more juice: if it's too thin, add more ice.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup of ice
1 1/2 oz tequila
1/2 oz Triple Sec
1/2 oz lime juice
3 oz sour mix
lime wedge for garnish
salt for rimming glass (optional)
PREPARATION:
Pour the ingredients into a blender.
Blend until smooth.
If desired, salt the rim of a chilled margarita glass.
Pour contents into the glass.
Garnish with the lime wedge.

you don't need a blender.

Get a shaker glass. I use a stainless steel shaker w/16 oz beer glass that fits inside - like they use in a bar.

Fill 16oz glass with crushed ice (all the way to the top)

Add 3oz (two jiggers) of good tequila (recommend Jose Cuervo Traditional).
Add 1.5oz Triple Sec
Top off glass with margarita mix and squirt in a wedge of lime.

Shake, pour in salted rim glass.
