Some years back I made many trips from South Louisiana too South Michigan with my daughters. When we had a holiday from school, we were either on a road trip headed there or the beaches in Florida. One time coming through the mountains we saw a triple rainbow. The pictures that we took didn't even do them justice. They were so beautiful, and noticed there wre floresent colors in them too. The song, "How Great Thou Art"came to me, but even that song didn't discribe the beauty that they held.

Hello Teri;
Are we having a bad day. Seems you thought I was someone who didn't know the difference between the Mississippi River and the River Jordan. They do both flood during the Spring. You would be surprised to know how many Christians know what Gods' Word about the bow and His promise to never flood the earth again.
I have four Bibles, three that are worn out, and another which I just bought so I can wear it out also. My children actually argue over who is going to get which one when I leave this world behind to be with my Lord. They love the notes and the time that they've seen their Mom in them. I'm a licensed, ordained, anointed, woman of God, twenty- two years.
No I'm not bragging because without Jesus I am nothing. I'm trying to make a point... we are not all on the same level.

It is a reminder of God's promise that He will never again flood the world. Remember that God is love, the chorus goes.
Mr Noah built an ark
The people thought it such a lark
Into the ark they would not go
But Mr. Noah pleaded so.
Down came the rain in torrents
Down came the rain in torrents
Down came the rain in torrents
And Noah and his house was saved.
Whenever you see a rainbow
Remember that God is love.

To protect the joints and vital organs while cutting down on drag in the water, being as they were origionally water fowl retrievers. The puff on the tail protects the tip of the tail from damage, the puffs on the back protect the kidneys and hips, the hair on the chest protects the chest cavity (that's a little redundant huh?) and the puffs on the legs protect the joints. Not sure about the head, I'm guessing it's to keep them from a brain freeze lol. Another bit of history. The corded poodle used to be the preferred type but slowly fell out of favor for the curly coat. All poodles could be corded with the correct grooming. Read that somewhere lol

The history behind a rainbow is found in the refractive index of common H2O. The water droplets act as an internal prism which breaks the light into its constituent colors (this same effect causes chromatic abberation in photography). Because there are multiple valid exit angles, you can see multiple rainbows simultaneously, though the ones further from the primary will be significantly dimmer than the primary, which occurs at a 42 degree angle of refraction.
Nothing magical or supernatural, no fairy tales needed.

They are a sign of the promise from God
that he never again will destroy the whole world with water.
How many people know that there was never any rain on the earth until the deluge? Not many! Not even the leaders of man-made religions know that fact. Yet God in the Bible reveals all of these things and why... Check it out man! You'll love it as much if not more than you love watching his creation. It's such a privilege to have that holy book at our disposal and what do we do about it??? Argue?! Real smart of us, isn't it???

The Bible, draws attention to the first rainbow and gives the reason for its continued appearance. It says that God made a covenant, a promise to the survivors of the world flood (Noah and his family) that “no more will the waters become a deluge to bring all flesh to ruin.” And as a sign of this covenant, God said to Noah: “My rainbow I do give in the cloud, and it must serve as a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.” (Gen. 9:8-16)

You reaction is exactly why the myths of lephrecauns, pots of gold, and gods come about. Rainbows are nothing more than sunlight being refracted through the water droplets, which act as prisms to diffuse the light, in the atmosphere. They are beautiful but also have a proven and reliable scientific explanation.

Rainbows are caused by light refracting through water molecules in the atmosphere. You can often find them after rainstorms because there's a lot more water in the air.

After the flood, God promised Noah that he will not send another one like it. The rainbow was that sign he gave. (Genesis 9:8-16)
We know of course how they are made....water particles through sunrays...God can easily make that...
See? Science and God does not conflict...=)
