Dogs do not have periods, they have heat cycles. Large breed dogs can have their first heat anytime between 6 months to 1 year old.
For her health, it's best to spay her before her first cycle.

Period is at the end of a sentence.. A dog comes into heat or into season.
She'll come into season likely anytime between 5 an 14 mos of age. Spay her now and you'll never see the mess and won't have to worry about all the hassle that comes with an intact, inseason female.

Usually every 6-8 months..SO if she's 3 months old she should start in 3-4 months or soon there after she should come into heat..Just depends on the dog
Good Luck

Dogs don't have periods. They do go into heat and have vaginal bleeding similar to what women on their period have (except that in humans this is the lining of the uterus breaking down and in dogs it is the result of the lining getting thicker in preparation for a pregnancy). This usually happens about 6 months of age.
Right now, she is at an optimal age for spay surgery. This surgery is much easier on smaller dogs and the maximum health benefits are seen in dogs who are spayed before their first heat cycle.

Your puppy will probably come into heat between 6 mos and a year. PLEASE get her spayed before she is 6 mos. old. Doing so will help her avoid a number of different cancers. Also, do you really want to see all kinds of dogs trying to hump your little puppy if she goes into heat?
My vet recommends spaying/neutering at 5 months, which is typically before their first heat cycle (for females), but they are old enough so they don't have as many problems with the anesthesia. My Golden girl is getting spayed next week!

Dogs have heat cycles, not periods like us humans. This could happen anytime (It's first occurence) at 6 months or older. Spay your female Labrador Retriever puppy before then. If spayed before her first heat, she has much less of a chance of getting breast cancer and certain other diseases and she will live much longer!

Not for atleast another 5-6 moths...larger dogs tend to have their periods later (closer to 10-12 months of age) than smaller dogs.

Usually in six months or so. I would suggest getting her spayed before then for numerous reasons. If you don't have the money check local humane societies or vets that allow payment arrangements.
