i have itunes and i put all my mp3s on there some time ago. it worked fine until today when i saw all my music in itunes was gone... but the music was still in the itunes folder. now everytime i put the music in again into itunes, it makes a whole nother folder with the same music and its taking up alot of space on my harddrive.
is there a way to import my music on my library without making copies of the same music?

In preferences/advanced is a setting "copy files to iTunes when adding to library", make sure that is turned off.
