if you are a true Christian, evolution should not be how the world was put together for you. read the Bible again. maybe this time you can accept God of who He is.
no one is shoving nothing down whoever's throat. the Word was commanded to be preached.

You're ranting about Atheists steryotyping.. and what are you doing? Sterytyping.. okay, look at it from an Athesist's view. ((No I am not Atheist. I am in fact,a.. well you know what. I made up my own religion.. so nevermind...Anyway They tell people that they don't worship god and their first reaction is "YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD!!??!? You must be going to hell!!!" Now, I live in the bible belt and have seen the best and the worst of Christianity ((Except the crusades.,. missed that.. heh)) It could be that most the time when an Atheist's religion.. or rather the lack of it, becomes known, people do often start trying to get them to believe in what they believe in. Call it good heartedness or whatever, I think deep dpwn somewhere a Christain fears an Atheist because they think that their non belief could rub off on them,.

In my journey, I even have found that maximum people who declare that they are atheists have self assurance this because of the fact of a painful journey that has got here approximately of their lives or judgmental Christians that they have are available in touch with. the actuality is that the Bible teaches that no you're able to transform yet another person, it is barely God's Holy Spirit that would convert. God makes use of us as an device yet he's the reason in the back of conversion. look at paul on the damascus roads, Jesus appeared to him and pronounced " why do you persecute me"? Paul hated Christians yet replaced into converted into an remarkable guy of God who led the way in spreading Christianity by way of out the Roman Empire

Not all Christians are bible thumpers. My mother is a devout Christian and she never preaches to anyone, including me. If you're one of these types of Christians, you're ok. I don't like the kind that think I'm "lost" or "haven't seen the light" yet. These are the ones that annoy me and quite frankly have disappointed me from any religion. I also hate when an athlete wins some kind of championship and the first thing that comes out of their mouth is "I would like to thank God for this trophy." Yes; God really wanted you to win a championship game........how stupid.

As with any group, Christians are given a bad name by the minority of zealots. I'm an atheist and wouldn't expect any Christian to try to convert me, nor do I dislike Christians (or any other religious group).
But there are elements within Christianity, like those within all major religions, which give you guys a bad name. I guess it's the same way some people think all atheists hate Christians.

well you sound pretty level headed about your religion. but the truth is, that most of you are horrified by the idea that we dont believe what you believe. Shoot, you dont even care about all the other religions cause "they believe in something. Most of you try to get down our throats and under our skin. telling us that if we dont believe we will go to hell. Then there are some aswsome Christians out there who never push their religion on you, and never persecute you for who you are. They go on and live their lives as usual, and pagans, atheists and all others respect them.

Science doesn't affect you? You don't ever use that computer you're using, or a cell phone, or drive a car, or use a microwave?
We're not hating on you. Unless you're also out there trying to legislate your beliefs. If you just have them, fine. As long as you don't think that everyone else should follow them, we'll get along fine.

Hon, it's only the ones who DO try that get us heated. Like the joyous, loving soul who said that atheists shouldn't be "allowed to" get time off for holidays that he perceives as somehow "Christian only" in a country that's a democracy. Go figure.

Like most generalizations, this one is false. But there are some that do, and they can be a nuisance, as they offer things such as biblical evidence and other fictional material to support their deluded views. One such sent me several e-mails; he completely ignored my proofs of the falsity of his views, and I finally told him to get lost.

No one ever said "all" Christians are like that. Some are, and some are not. Just like not "all" Atheists accuse Christians of anything.
