Human race is ever so restless. If not religion, it will find something else to disagree on. But peace will never be in this earth.
I am ready to forgo organised religion if it brings world peace. But I will remain true to my beliefs in private.

I think world peace is a pipe dream and an impossibility. There will always be people in the world who hate and others who think they know what is best for everyone else. As far as organized religion goes, there are many problems, but doesn't any and every organization, whether it is a business, or a government, also have problems. No organization, regardless of what type including religion, is not perfect. True Christianity is about a relationship with Jesus and faith, not about an organization. Organizations only help those of similar beliefs work together for the common good.

If there was a fail-proof guarantee that the world would be peaceful if I personally gave up organized religion (you didn't say everyone had to) then sure!
The drawback to that is that I would be the sole person responsible for ending world turmoil and people would idolize me in return, causing a religion every bit as flawed as the rest, and clashing with the more traditional ones, setting the unrest in motion again.
But it would still be worth it, even if the peace were temporary, because it would show that it can be done and there's the possibility that peace could happen again.

World peace huh? Of course, I would never give up my relationship with Christ. He is my life, my today, and all my tomorrows. I think I know where you are going with this. The kuran states that all should believe as they do, or be murdered. This is such a problematic religion, as the original teachings have little to do with what they are propaganding now. No, I will never submit to being under the rule of any other "god" other than the one and only true God! My savior! I hope that answered your question.

I'm not in organized religion. I believe. The two are at the moment mutually exclusive. Apart from the truth, the world will never know peace until it draws it's last violent, evil breath.

i imagine the perception that prepared faith is to blame for all our undesirable possibilities is inaccurate. at the same time as that's actual that corrupt leaders of prepared religions have pushed human beings to do negative issues, utilizing that very faith to objective to justify their claims, it is also actual that many human beings do negative issues with out utilizing prepared faith as a justification. WWI became all about a tremendous grab for land and factors. Vietnam became about protecting a political ideology. And there have been wars that were fought for the right and used prepared faith because that's justification besides, like the Civil warfare the position faith became used as a justification and motivation for the northern states. Then, there are each of the human beings who're extremely scholars of their faith, who're attempting to do the constructive issues they have self assurance in, Buddhists are an exceedingly non violent human beings and if the international believed the way *they* do then we would have a utopian society besides. Many catholic clergymen and nuns serve those with out ever soliciting for some thing in go back. Mormons are almost the first human beings on the scene of any organic disaster with food and help and in many cases help the purple pass locate the position they're maximum needed. the region isn't faith, the region is those who're undesirable at heart, those who persist with blindly, and twisting the words of those religious teachings. after all, Christ's significant message became one in all affection, peace, and tolerance. a lot of persons mess that up because they let their delight ("i'm ideal, you're incorrect and that i'll instruct it") get interior the way of the actual message. that's our delight, our selfishness, and our shortsightedness that reason the themes interior the international. All of those issues would nonetheless exist with out faith, yet in addition they exist interior the hearts of those who each so often profess religious beliefs also. no one, no company or man or woman, is ideal.

No. I think that the belief that organized religion is causes war is partially true, but it is not the beliefs and organization of religion that cause the wars, it is what people do with them, and their inability to understand their relation to others.

I'd give up on organized religion if it meant nice weather for next weekend. Hell, I'd give it up if it meant a glass of fresh grapefruit juice.
