You guys call Hollywood stupid, but they have done a good job of making you stupid, haven't they?

Uneducated people. Nuclear weapons have terrible effects. The radiation is worst than the blast itself. Even though in a fusion bomb, only about 1-2% of the yield is radiation (a lot more for fission bombs, though), it is VERY dangerous.

In the Cold War, had a nuclear war broken out in Europe, diseases like cancer and birth defects would be widespread for the survivors. Those in Hollywood who would have you believe that it would give birth to mutants are gross distortions of reality.

Unfortunately, the political right seems to suffer a serious shortage of realism. And advocates of "tactical nukes" seem to fail to understand the long term effects of their weapons (or intentionally ignore the effects of radiation).

Consider that the Pentagon hires people to argue that depleted uranium is harmless. It is only mildly radioactive, but very toxic. But of course, depleted uranium has little to do with nukes, save that it could be converted to plutonium 239.

well i wouldent want to nuke anyone. and honestly the only way the United States would ever launch their nukesis if someone launched some on us first. But i do agree we should address the situation in iran give them a little more time and then if they dont comply take out their nuclear places
