Use HYDROGEN PEROXIDE, swish and gently brush your teeth with it. This will kill pain surprisingly fast.

It is $1.00 a quart at the Drug Store.

Swish several times a day. It seeps down into the gum to the root of whatever tooth is causing the pain.

Another odd thing that helps gum pain is chewing gum, use sugar free and chew firmly. The exercise of chewing helps eliminate the pain in the gum.

All of this is just until you get a Dental appointment.

A few years ago this happened to my Husband and we learned that he had broken his tooth vertically thru the root.
Aparently he bit something hard, the pain was excuciating.
The dentist considered a root canal but determined he really could not save the molar, so it was pulled.

You probably have an abcess and I am sorry to say that not much will help that pain until the pressure from the abcess is relieved. You can try Tylenol or Advil and a hot compress, but you really need to get in to see a dentist as soon as possible.

Try an anti-inflamatory, should ease the pain. If you have no anti imflamatories try putting an aspirin directly on the pulsing tooth. Or do both. You probably have an infection in the gums around or under the tooth.

You may have abcess in your gum. No pain killer can take care of the pain until you kill the infection. Go to your dentist for a check up, he might prescribe you with some antibiotic then the pain will go away

I would see a dentist. But if you can't get in to see the dentist right away try brushing your teeth with sensodyne sensitive teeth toothpaste and floss and use anbisol. You might have something stuck in your teeth or unknown to you, you might have a cavity.
