THIS DOES NOT IMMOBILIZE THE JAWS AND IS VERY COMFORTABLE TO WEAR. I'VE DONE MANY FOR MY PATIENTS AND THE APPLIANCE MAY FIT FOR THE UPPER TEETH OR LOWER DEPENDING ON THE BITE. IT WORKS BY SUPPRESSING THE ACTIONS OF GRINDING BY THE TRIGEMINAL NERVE. READ MORE ABOUT IT HERE:

they immobilize the jaws 2 prevent teeth grinding, but they r uncomfortable top & bottom. i have an overbite and niteguard always slipped off so i gave up on using it.
