My cat has just been diagnosed with Addison's. This disease affects dogs (and humans). It is extremely rare in cats.

There are only 17 recorded cases in the vets manual produced by the BSAVA.

If there is anybody out there with an Addison's cat - I am interested in sharing information.

I have found the following website very helpful. It was designed for canines but there is a good links page for felines:

Addison is my absolute favorite little girl's name of all time. I do not think it is a masculine name AT ALL. It is very feminine and regal. I have heard of places named Addison, which is not a bad thing. I guess I am more of a optimist. At least we know someone with the last name Addison is very intelligent. I actually feel sorry for the people that associate the name with the disease. Way to dwell on the negative!

I have a cat that is 5 years old and I have never heard about Addison's Disease. I hope that your cat is going to be OK. My cat has bad allergies, but she does not have a disease. Good luck with your cat and I hope that everything comes out fine.

Wow that is bad luck, I've never met a cat with Addison's before. Plenty of dogs tho!

Just in case you don't get any replies from people in your situation, this website looks helpful:
