Yes, we believe that everything in the Bible is "true" and *some* of it actually happened!

We use the stories in the Bible as Instructions for how to live Life here on earth -- not in some fantasy land in the afterlife.

No one can speak for all Jews. We have as many *denominations* as Christianity, but we are separated by practice, not belief. Even Jews in the same denomination will debate each other about every word, sentence, paragraph, etc. in the Bible.

Not only are we allowed to ask questions, we are encouraged to question. We question God, our Bible, and most importantly, our leaders!

Please ignore the Christian answers. The Christian version of Judaism is very different from reality! As Fred says, they should try reading it in its original language.

BTW: Jewish people are called Jews.
Christianish people are called Christians.

I believe you meant to say "atheist", yet I digress. Sorry. Anyways, yes, Jewish people believe in Adam and Eve as they were the FIRST man and woman created by G-D. Also, almost ALL Jewish people read mostly the Old Testament, very little if any of the New Testament.

The story in told in the old testament. However, for those who care, the story is much deeper in the original than it is in the childish English translation.
