The easy way: Put it on your CD Drive and check and double click on the CD Drive on My Computer.
The other way: Open Nero or your burning software and on on Disc Details and check if any track has been written.

Put the cd in your cdrom/dvd drive and windows should open a dialog asking you what to do. Choose to open the disc and view contents. Once there you can see if there is any data on the disc. Also you can go to 'my computer' and double click the drive that the cd is in to view contents.
I'd also like to point out that if you try to burn a cd to one that has already been burned it will not work (it just asks for a blank disc) This is almost always true unless the disc is a rewritable (CDRW) or a CDR that has been left 'open' instead of being finalized

Hi,
you can tell by looking at the back of the Cd (the side where the Cd-rom reads). If you see the change of tint (got darker) closer to the outer edge of the CD rom, you should know that it has material in it. Also, you can find out by placing the CD into your drive and right click on D:// and click properties. In there, you can see the amount of space used in the CD.

The first thing you do is put it into the computer.
If you have Microsoft Windows XP and the CD is blank, there will be a pop-up message saying:
Windows can perform the same action every time you insert a disk or connect a device with this type of file:
Blank Disc
If this appears, the disc is blank. If the words Blank Disc are not there but something else is, the disc is not blank.

First, on most cd's, you can flip them upside down and look at them to see if they have material. There is usually a darker circle beginning from the center when they have content. If you can't identify this, then put it in the drive and check it.
As for itunes, make a playlist of the songs, then follow their instructions for burning the playlist - I believe you can get to it by right-clicking the playlist.

Check it by putting it in the player. On some CDs you can see where it burned, but others may not look any different.
