25 years of active duty taught me there's no damned Santa Claus. There was an Ether Bunny during Gulf War I but that's a different story.

The one thing I'd want though is equitable pay for all troops. It's never made sense to me that we stick a single 24 year old E-4 in the barracks and make him eat in the chow hall but we'll pay for a married one's house and groceries. They may do exactly the same job with equal proficiency but a spouse and kids get one greater financial benefits.

Leaders with balls who don't play politics with the security of this great nation. Personally, I would ask for a mini gun (modern Gatling gun) and 100,000 rounds of ammo. There is a gang problem in my neighborhood so I need to change that!

More troops.

The pentagon is finally starting to see it. We shouldn't be putting all of our money into big dollar projects like the "Crusader" or new fighter planes because the majority of the next century fighting will be police-actions that require huge amounts of boots-on-ground.

I ask for hundreds of thousands of more troops that are highly trained, disciplined and motivated.
