It is still good. Put it in the freezer and it won't get hard, and will last 4 ever.

To soften Brown Sugar: Place about 1/2 lb. of hardened brown sugar in a microwave safe bowl. cover sugar with two wet paper towels. Tightly cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Heat in microwave in HIGH for 1 1/2 to 2 min. divide sugar with fork (sugar will be hot) use immediately.

Brown Sugar usually does'nt go bad in a Sense. But it will get Rock Hard if you dont Store 'em right ! My Grandma used to put Sugar in a bag with a slice of Apple. You have to change that of course every so often.
To make it easier i use Pure Cane-Sugar wich is granulated, so it cant Clump and get Hard

No, but it does get hard.
Make it soft again by putting the sugar in a ziploc bag along with a damp paper towel. Let sit overnight.
If you need it right away, however, shove it in the oven for a few minutes in low heat (I go about 250 degrees F), or microwave it on low about 1-2 minutes per cup.
Hope this helps!

It doesn't go bad, but it does solidify. Place 1 slice of bread in the container with the brown sugar and seal in ziplock type bag. The bread will keep it moist because of the yeast content. (If you don't use the brown sugar often, change bread slice often. I use the end slice of the bread loaf which noone eats anyway).

Nope sure doesn't. It will get very hard from lack of moisture but is still usable and good. So make your cookies or candy and smile but next time you buy some put it in a zip-lock bag and it will stay softer.

I don't think brown sugar goes bad. It might get hard because it lost some moisture, but it won't hurt you. There are all sorts of ways to fix the hardness, just google it.

Brown sugar is a sucrose sugar product with a distinctive brown color due to the presence of molasses. It is either an unrefined or partially refined soft sugar consisting of sugar crystals with some residual molasses content or produced by the addition of molasses to refined white sugar.
Brown sugar contains from 3.5% molasses (light brown sugar) to 6.5% molasses (dark brown sugar). The product is naturally moist from the hygroscopic nature of the molasses and is often labelled as "soft." The product may undergo processing to give a product that flows better for industrial handling. The addition of dyes and/or other chemicals may be permitted in some areas or for industrial products.
Particle size is variable but generally less than granulated white sugar, products for industrial use e.g. as an ingredient for industrial production of cakes may be based on caster sugar (crystals of approximately 0.35 mm).

It should be fine. If the sugar has hardened, put it in the microwave, just long enuf to soften it up. You will have to watch it closely, in order not to "cook" the sugar. As son as it is warm enuf, it will become softer and usable.

it doesn't 'go bad' but it may get hard depending on the weather - you can just microwave it to soften it
