I need the drivers to make my laptop wireless, so I don't have to use the cable to get on line.

Ok, so it must be the drivers for the wireless adapter that's missing, so what can I do?

Router don't need drivers.

You may need drivers for your wireless adapter in your PC, but that's another story altogether.

EDIT: nForce stuff is built into the mainboard, and is usually NOT wireless.

Why do you think you have wireless capabilities? If it's external, it must have a model number and such on it. If it's internal, you'll need to provide the laptop's model name and such so we can help you look it up.

What wireless adapter do you have in your laptop?
Is it a USB adapter? or Pcmcia adapter? Or integrated?

You should be able to find in your PCs hardware manager.
Without going thru a 100 ways to get there, click start, the run then paste this in the Open: box - C:\WINDOWS\system32\devmgmt.msc (that's devmgmt.msc - yahoo truncates the link) then click OK. Look for Network adapters and tell us what type you have.

For your laptop wireless adapter driver you can install it from the copy of cd that comes together with your laptop. If you happen to lost that cd too, then you can download it from the laptop manufacturer's web download section. Hope this lil details can help. Enjoy your wireless surfing~ :)

Drivers won't make your laptop wireless unless you have a wireless adapter to go with the driver.
