1040 EZ. Remember to file for the Telephone Excise Refund if he had any long distance service from 2003 - 2006.

Also, some single persons of low income are eligible for the Earned Income Credit too.....

Does he pay mortgage interest?, student loan interest, tithes, contributions, medical payments, health insurance? These are possible deductions he may be eligible for .....

good luck

I advise everybody to start with looking at the 1040 that way they can at least see if they qualify for anything else, there are possible deductions for medical, unreimbursed employee expenses, charitable contributions, tuition, student loan interest payments, age and blindness, not to mention owning as home and car registration and the majority or these will be overlooked if you start with a 1040 EZ. Yes that's probably it but without knowing anything else it's very hard to tell.

And as previously stated don't forget the Earned Income Credit if he made less than 12,120 and is between 25 and 60. The phone excise tax refund 30-single, 40-with two exemptions, 50-3 people, 60 is the max if you go standard or you can get all your phone bills together and add just the long distance excise tax. I've had several customers do this and it doesn't get them much more back the most I've seen is 68, but if you had multiple phone lines it could be more I suppose.

1040EZ will work. He is allowed to file on 1040A or 1040, but might as well use the easiest, shortest one.

go on your community placed up workplace or library do no longer visit a tax workplace and ask for unfastened workplace work - they do no longer artwork for the IRS and in simple terms fall sick of folk entering their workplace inquiring for unfastened suggestion/workplace work/etc.
