There are ALOT of products that you can use. If you just got a cut you might want to use "let's jam". It smells really good and makes your hair shiny. It also has a pretty good hold. If its been a wile since you got a cut it would be best to get some pomade to hold your hair down. There are many types of pomades but these are what I recommend:

shorter hair: "Sportin Waves" (in a black can usually be found just about anywhere but family dollar is guaranteed to have it)

medium length hair:"Sportin Waves"(in a gold can also found just about anywhere)

longer hair: "Dax"(in a red can found in a lot of places but walmart is guaranteed to carry it)

There is a lot of hard work put into getting fresh 360 waves. I don't have the space to list all of the products and techniques that goes into getting waves. Here are some obvious suggestion.

1.)brush A LOT. Always keep you're brush on you.

2.)make sure you get your hair cut and washed regularly. It is best to wash your hair at least every other day. Also use a conditioner.

3.) make sure the bristles on your brush are hard enough. For short hair use a softy and for longer hair use a medium or hard brush.)

4.) Make sure you're brushing right. Start from the center of the scalp and brush outwards towards the hair line. Brush the sides in a slight slant.

5.) Protect your pattern by wearing a wave cap or durag at night.

Brushing is what develops your waves. The only thing that the wave cap and pomade does is enhance the look of the waves by weighing your hair down.
It will probably take a few weeks for you to see any results. If you want fresh waves all throughout your hair it will take a few months. It takes a lot of patience at first but it will get easier for you once you start seeing results.
If you don't have a lot patience you can buy an s-curl kit for waves. It gives you instant waves and it's pretty cheap but it is not permanent and your hair will not get as wavy as it would with the old fashioned way. These are only the basic suggestion. If you want detailed suggestion and product reviews go to 360waves.net.

I don't know if you are asking for a hairdressing product suggestion or a texturizing relaxer product.

Professional:
If you live in a city where there are a multiple of black salons, call and tell them what you are looking for.

Doing it yourself?
In urban areas, in places like Walgreens, you can find hair texturizers like S Curl. There are different strengths and you should use a milder form at first if you are not sure of how strong the chemical you should use. Also you need time to apply it and combing it through. Best bet is to get a haircut earlier in the week.

If you are doing this yourself, long hair is more of a challenge to do by yourself. Carefully read the directions before using these products and if using a texturizer, do not shampoo your hair or scratch your scalp for a few days before. If you have any breakouts in your scalp, wait until it has cleared up.

Follow the directions to the letter and make sure you wear gloves.

I prefer hair that will is shoulder length or longer, As well as since that men who like ladies are more often then not right, they like long hair because that looks more feminine, as most guys have short hair.

Use any kind of gel or hairspray. It also depends on if your hair is naturally curly or not. Use gel and use it generously on your hair. Then using your fingers make curls. Blow dry them until dry and spray with hairspray.
