I'm sorry you cant work out in your neighborhood, and i wish you all of of the luck. Try to diet while working out too. You will get much better results. At your weight and age, a sensible diet of healthy items instead of fatty foods and sugars will help you lose pretty quickly if you stay with it.

Good luck

You yourself said it, 160 is too must to lose in 6 weeks. However, if you're smart and do actually want to lose it, then you'll listen to the facts and will put away these silly idealisms away. Losing weight doesn't have to cost money. It actually should save you money, because you will be eating less. If you think you can lose real weight without permantley changing your weight then you have to get your head out of the clouds. As far as food is concerned, just eat wheny our hungry. When you are hungry, stick to basic meat, fruit, vegetables, and nuts. Don't eat until your stomach hurts, stop when you're full or near full. For exercise, try to make a plan for yourself or find an activity that you like that can also help you lose weight-for me that's dancing, and I can dance easily inside. Biking is also a great idea. Try not to eat too much sugar. That's basically all you need to know, people like to make this weight loss things a lot more complicated than it needs to be. Those people don;t have much will power, because if they did then they would be able to lose without any exscuses. Good luck, and remeber to never cheat yourself.

Well, to be completely honest, the best way to lose weight is to do cardiovascular exercise like fast paced walking.
I wouldn't recommend walking around a ghetto area if you are in the eighth grade though.
Try pacing back and forth in front of the tv or do it while playing music.
You also need to stop eating junk food, meaning you should cut out potato chips, candy bars, cookies, snack cakes, etc.
Try to drink Gatorade istead of soda pop, and try drinking milk instead of eating ice cream. Our bodies need milk, but they don't need the added sugar in ice cream.
Don't be afraid to eat when you are hungry, just don't eat junk, and be sure to walk at a fast pace for at least a half hour every day.
You will not lose 160 pounds in 6 weeks though.
Safe weight loss is a gradual thing, and it should take at least 6 months to a year to lose 160 pounds.
I've heard of people safely losing 20 to 25 pounds in the first month or so of dieting, and losing about 15 pounds a month after that, but that doesn't mean that you will be able to do that.
You will lose weight if you diet and exercise, but it may take you longer that other people because of your body chemistry.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

The best way is to devise a program that isn't too demanding- devise one that you know you can and will follow. Also, most people can do with eating better- so just swap that next bag of chips with a reduced fat granola bar! Also, eat wholemeal bread and don't drink milk!

For the excercising, make sure you don't overwork yourself. Cycling is an easy option- you can lose those pounds quickly and time flies quickly when you go exploring those areas of your neighbourhood that you're not familiar with. (Don't get lost!)- I used to cycle with a friend around the really expensive houses- very interesting!

Good luck on losing the pounds!

Weight loss depends on a very simple equation.

Number of calories consumed through eating must be less than the number of calories you burn through activity. The greater the difference, the faster you lose weight. You must, however be careful to ensure that your body gets the nutrients it needs while you are limiting your calorie intake.

The weights, ab machine, and cross-crunch are good for toning specific muscles but not very effective in dropping weight. The bike, however, can be effective. You need to get your heart rate and metabolism up through aerobics.

Get an aerobic DVD and start out slow. Build up until you are doing 30 minutes at elevated heart rate.

Eat less. Eat healthy. Protein and green vegetables. Limit carbs.

DRINK 2 GALLONS OF WATER A DAY!

First, if you lost 160 pounds in 6 weeks, you'd probably end up in the hospital. So be realistic. You need to make lifestyle changes: stop eating sweets, drinking soda, and eating fried foods. Eat mostly fruits & veggies. Then, slowly, start exercising EVERY day. Walk up & down the stairs in your house like 50 times a day & do your exercise bike too.
Good luck.

Eat very small portions 4-5 times a day. NO JUNK FOOD. If it is white or has sugar in it leave it alone!! Drink water only. Stay away from juice it is almost as fattening as sodas. Use your exercise equipment in the mornings, not before bedtime. Get 8 hours sleep a night. Slow and steady will do it. Good luck.

use what u have around your house. if u have stairs then go up and down your stairs about 15-20 times. u have a floor so lay on it and do about 20-25 sit ups, u have a wall, lean up against it and do squats, job in the middle of the floor, u say u have weights, use them grl. dont think that those expensive machines somehow make u lose weight faster cause thats not true. machines can never do what u can do everyday. a treadmill for example. u can do the same thing and get better affects by running around yo living room or running up and down yo stairs can give u the same results if not better. u need to drink more water to. water works miracles believe it or not. think about it...... when u use a treadmill and when u run outside what are u doin thats so different except with a treadmill u runin in place. grl use what u got and lose that weight so u can look sexy on yo prom.

Unfortunately there is no easy way to lose weight but its possible and pretty simple. first you have to commit to a program. start off by cutting down on the carbs (bread, rice, potatoes and cheese.) then cut down on the portions, whatever you have for meals cut the quantity in half, if you are used to having a burger and fries for lunch, lose the the bun and the fries, have the burger and order a salad. as for the exercise there are a lot of things you can do in your living room and the bike is very good if you can cycle 30min a day. its all about doing this everyday and watching what you eat. good luck.
