Sometimes it is just a control thing. Once you have a child with someone you can never break up and have a clean split. Now there is a child keeping parts of you attached. Some people have children thinking it will make their relationship stronger, but it only breaks it apart. Babies are work. It is not just playing house. The baby doesn't go away and will take a lot of your time from each other. You will both be exhausted for quite some time after the baby is born and then there is raising the child. You will need to make sure that you agree on how to raise you child. People have so many ideas on what is the best way. Get these questions answered and get married first so you can build on a stron foundation.

Outside of the sex?
I know they aren't thinking of the woman, her reputation, or whats best for the woman or the child, so that leave only one thing, oh, wait I said outside the sex, so that leaves nothing.
Its all about the sex.
If you whipped out a custody agreement and specified how much a child costs and day care expenses and how much delivery and Pre- and post natal care costs, and of course how often he sees the baby, even if he has tickets to the big game on his weekend, you would see the jerk make tracks so fast his zipper would get stuck.
Maybe then fewer men would be on here moaning about child support.
And fewer women would fall for that very old line.
Its nice he wants to have a child as a way of always being in your life, show him you care by having his child and his name in marriage first. Its old fashioned, always in style and fits all sizes. Don't have children with men you aren't married too, marriage is the commitment to raise a family together and work together in love.
A love child brings a baby into the world with someone who, for whatever reason cannot commit to a woman in the usual way. Don't do that, love yourself and the baby he wants you to have more than that.

Men don't think like women Period. Women think about progressing, progressing to the next stage. Guys on the other hand think if it ain't broke don't fix it. If things are working great status quo why risk further complicating things?
Maybe he wants to have a kid and he sees his girlfriend/friend as the perfect person to be the future mother, caregiver, etc. However, the caveat here is the fact that he doesn't want to get married, maybe you encompass everything that he wants out of the mother of his kids but you don't encompass what he wants out of a wife.

Probably just the one thing considering what they are doing when they actually make a love child.

The woman can use birth control is she doesnt want the child.... Its not only the mans fault. Maybe she wants to keep the man in her life so she gets pregnant on purpose.

Accidents happen. Maybe conctraception was not very effective. She ends up pregnant and neither or just her is against abortion and viola a love child is born. Typical scenerio.

For some men the number of kids they have is like proof of their manhood. I believe the old saying " any man can be a father - but it takes someone special to be a daddy." These guys want the "trophy" without the day to day hassles of fatherhood. I have no respect for them and neither will their children in the end.

I didn't WANT to have a child at the time my daughter was conceived, but now that she is in my life, I wouldn't trade her for anything.
Oh, and at the time, the only thing that was on my mind was sex.

It depends on the relationship, Making babies with just anyone doesn't even compare to making them with someone whom you truly love.
