My bf just told me that my bestfriend told him some bad things about me. I have proof that she hasn't even talked to him. He claims her husband called him but they don't have his number. Should I confront him with his lies or just break up with him?

It is always better to talk through your problems and then make a rational decision from there. You want to make sure you have total closure in the relationship before moving on. You never know...he might have a logical explanation.

what did he say that she said. i would ask him to tell you and if the stuff was true than you should confront your friend. and what proof could you possibly have that she hasn't talked to him? she could have lied. but if he just tells you stuff that isn't true then i would confront him. friends aren't always honest so i wouldnt take her word until i found out both sides of the story

Confront him first. Tell him that you have reason to believe he lied to you, and ask him why he did that. Give him a chance to explain first. If he admits he lied and is entirely unapologetic and you think he'll keep lying, then break up with him.

Just get rid of him. If you confront him then you are giving him even the benefit of the doubt and the chance to dig himself even further. Take it as a lesson learned.

You should first confront him and if you feel that he keeps lying and things are not going well, break up with him. You need to show him that lying is not acceptable with you and if he keeps on lying, put him back into his place.

ask yourself what you want to achieve by confronting him

is it just to call him a liar, tell him off, and put him in his place? ... then I say no, be a bigger person than that ... and don't play his game

if you are already absolutely sure that he lied ... just tell him it's over and leave him thinking about his head games

watever you do ... don't assume anything

Confront first and then if there are some other issues you should break up if he was blatantly lying to you.

if i were you i would just break up with him, because if he lied about that then you don't want the rest of your life to be a lie. Plus, he was probably planning to break up with you, so i would beat him to the punch.

Just drop him. He's obviously trying to a catch you in the act of doing something wrong, and unless you have, u certainly deserve better.
