It takes 7-years from the last reported date.

The reporting SOL started from the day the repo was sold creating the deficieny and runs for 7 years.
It does not matter if the repo is paid or unpaid - the start of the reporting SOL and the length of time it reports remains the same.

You didn't mention if it was a paid repo or not so I thought I'd add just a bit more.
If it had been paid - great.
If it had not been paid, you are definately out of the SOL for collections.

Repo's void the original contract you had with the lender.
The collecting SOL no longer falls under your states "written" SOL statutes but instead fall under the UCC for the collection SOL - which is 4 years from the date the repo was sold creating the deficiency.

If the repo is still reporting, if you had moved since the repo you might dispute the old/outdated address in the personal section on your reports. If the address is removed, the repo trade line might fall off along with it.
Or, if you hadn't moved or it remains on your report after disputing an address, at the 4 to 6 month point before it is supposed to fall off you might dispute it as obsolete
