I want to try something different....anyone tried and had good luck with single sites? I cant seem to find a decent guy out there.

I was one who said I would never do that, but I did a few years ago and met many guys. It is fun to get new messages and check guys out and have a free drink, meal or fun evening. Most men will pay for the dates and if they don't then there's no need to go out with them again. My favorite sites were Yahoo and Match. I also tried E-Harmony but it was my least favorite, and the most expensive. If nothing else, trying online sites just to get out is a good experience. I ended up quitting with them after about a year because I had gotten it out of my system, plus I didn't really want to have my story be that I met my guy that way (I ended up meeting my true love at a Halloween party at a bar when I was least expecting it.) I met my boyfriend on match.com. I had also joined yahoo personals and eharmony. No luck with eharmony, but I liked yahoo and match. I like match's format better and it seems it has more information on its members. It took me 9 months to meet the guy I am with. It's like any other form of dating--be cautious until you get to know someone and try to be open minded when you meet for the first time. Sometimes people are nervous on a first date and it may take a few times for you to get to know someone enough to know if there is any potential.

Don't go to them things. To tell you the truth! I am a maid. I used to take care of the computers at work. You have no idea how many of our regular customers who are married join those sites! Just to hook up with gals in our area. So some guy tells you he is single. And he's coming to your town in a few days. You can bet he's married!

Put yourself out there a little more. Take up friend's invites to go out and go to a movie or even going to a bar. You won't believe the different ways you can meet people. don't focus on the fact that you haven't found a decent guy. Just focus on enjoying yourself and putting your best foot forward. He might just "fall into you lap" when you're least expecting him.

if you are looking for a guy the best thing to do is stop looking lol i know that sounds funny ,but they seem to know you are looking and you never find one...but heres a sure fire way to meet a guy and usualy its someone that you will like to be around.check the news paper or phone book for groups that you are interested in like bowling,get involved with the park district groups ,exercize ,walking crafts,painting what ever,book clubs for book readings,church groups ,travel groups.take some classes with college,and get involved with groups there ,stay busy and active ,when you meet some new people get involved with them ask them to go shopping and get busy with new freinds then as you get to know them you will meet new people and then you will meet your guy its doesnt take as long as it seems ,and ask the new people how they meet people ect just keep moving forward,you cant find them setting home ,but you cant find them when you hunt ,,hope that makes sence,but if you are busy having fun then you wont seem so desperate ,people really do sence that in others and its not attractive.if your happy and having fun people will want to join u.!!it could be you new friends brother ,or cousin ,or friend ..you see that how it works.have fun

The only people that date online are people who are not very good looking - especially the guys. If you dont care much about looks or are willing to chance meeting a psycho go for it. You're better off either alone or just waiting for mr right in reality.
