Grilled cheese. Toasted cheese would probably get stuck in the toaster.

Actually, it depends on where you are. In the USA (and maybe Canada) it is called Grilled Cheese - like a Grilled Cheese sandwich. In the UK, however, and other countries of the British Commonwealth, it is called Toasted Cheese. I know this because I am from a commonwealth country, but lived in the US for 10 years.

In North America, I have heard it most commonly referred to as Grilled Cheese...my granny from the UK calls it a Toasted Cheese...I think it all depends on what part of the world you live in...

Well, here where I live (West coast USA) if we make it in a pan, with butter on the outside, it's grilled cheese, if we put the cheese on the bread and bake or broil, it's toasted cheese.
Must be a regional thing. Either way........comfort food! Yum

I make grilled cheese but my son makes toasted cheese, but he toasts the bread in the toaster then he puts cheese on the bread, then he puts it in the microwave for a few seconds. He loves it that way.
