yes, it is difficult to get the muslin cloth in small cloth shops.
In shops that are reputed as good cotton stockists, you will get good thin white muslin cloth.(pure cotton).

Am not sure which city you are in.... In any case you try at any decent cloth shop or fabric shop. Most fabric shops will have Muslin.
