When I saw it on TV they said that the post office hadn't decided if it would go up to 40 or 41 cents. And I didn't get the date either. But you have a couple here that say it's May. I was so hoping that it wouldn't go to 41 sents though. Either way I've got to buy either 1 or 2 sent stamps to add to my 39 sent stamps that I have if I don't use them before the date change. Hmmmmmmmmmmm

it will be 41cents--but, there will be something called a forever stamp. (where you buy as many 41 cent stamps and you can use them till you run out. -there is no experation date on it..i dont know when that will start though.

Technically, the cost would "rise", as "raise" is a transitive verb and would require a direct object. For instance, "God raised Jesus up", but "Jesus rose (preterit past 3rd person singular form of 'to rise')"

You raise something (like the roof), but something just "rises" by itself (like your mother's baked bread rolls).

We can't expect to hold a constant stamp price in the US if we can't speak good English. (and yes, "speak good English" is correct)
