God is love.

Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.

Love doesn't make the world go round, but it does make life feel like it's a whole lot better.

God is not love, though. God is an artificial concept created by ancient writers who wanted to explain the mysteries of the world. The way things worked, the reasons for death, and what happened after death were all things that needed to be explained..... and to a simple mind it all seemed mystical... like some omnipotent being was controlling it all.

Living with the knowledge that God loves us gives us a peace that surpasses all understanding. It will enable us to accomplish whatever needs to be done in the future! It will give us confidence to boldly go before the throne and make our petitions known! To know that the Most High God loves us means that if God be for us.........

May the Lord bless you and make His face shine on you! Thanks for the reminder!

Capitalized World, no. Money makes the World go round. And sin. And strife. And ignorance. And idolatry. 5 down, a couple of hundred to go. Shall I continue? As to the planet, I think that's gravity. Grace through faith makes the Christian life sustainable, and love is all in and through that.

The world was round way before any life form existed in this planet.
No life form ever existed in the moon or the sun but they're still round. You can't deny this factor since it is true. It shows how ignorant some believers can be by seeing the numbers of thumbs down to my answer.

1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us. 20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

I think love is the only thing that makes life feel fun and makes it fun to be alive - can't say if that comes from god or not - I just find it to be so -

A combination of gravity, magnetism and perpetual motion. Now, if you are referring to what keeps life going, then I would say it is the grace of God. Do not confuse God's love with human love---they are vastly different. Human love is nothing more than lust. God's love is unconditional.

I'm fairly certain that it's a combination of gravity and momentum that makes the Earth go round. Not dissing love though.

Well apart from the scientific stuff. Absolutely, it's such a great feeling when you know unconditional love, it can dissolve all your fears. Its horrible if its lost though, but then again, if its lost, its never really unconditional.

Actually, two simple principles of physics make the world go 'round:
One of Newton's laws of motion (a body in motion tends to stay in motion unless acted on by an external force);
The law of conservation of angular momentum.

Love, hate, jealousy, piety, compassion, etc. -- human emotions are things humans worry about (way too much, frankly)...the earth doesn't care about them one iota, it just happily keeps going 'round thanks to simple physical principles.

Peace.
