I'm 26 years old - have never had a high bp reading while going to the doctor - I eat right, get moderate exercise but when I am doing this exercise, my head starts to hurt. When I stop, it stops. But actually, I tend to always have a mild headache which is alleviated with Ibuprofen.

I'm going to see the doc next week but is it possible I could have high blood pressure?

I also have a back molar that is pretty much rotten (can't eat on that side) -- could that be causing headaches, too?

To the last poster: yeah, if you call a strict vegetarian diet and only drinking water junk food.

The exercises are pretty low impact -- it's some yoga the dellydancing drills. And usually my head is elevated as well as my arms.

ibuprofen will raise anyone's blood pressure by about 30 points...quit taking it in any form if you are concerned about your blood pressure. about your molar, if it is infected the infection can go to your brain and cause all kinds of damage so get that checked out. yes, it could cause headache pain as well. maybe you're holding your jaw at a funny angle to avoid biting down on that tooth. you say "when i am doing this exercise my head starts to hurt"...what exercise is it? is your head lower than your heart at that time? you may need a tilt table test to determine if the valves in your carotid arteries are working properly. Best of luck.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

Headaches are due to different things. Generally hypertension patients dont have any signs before they are diagnosed. However it is possible that you could, but I doubt it because of your age and healthy lifestyle. If you're stressed, that could be the cause of the headache. However, If your doctor tells you that you do have high blood pressure, you should have him/her examine you for underlying causes such as Cushing's disease and benign prostate hyperplasia.
