I mean like you don't go to church every Sunday, Saturday or Wedneday /Thursday night (depending on demonation) live the christian life, not winning lost souls to Jesus and showing them the salvation? I feel the need for prayer sometimes, for others in medical situations, finicincal or just going through a rough time and for their overall safety. I feel if I'm not a strict reglious, christian, Bible pumping church goer that maybe God won't listen. I hope he cares enough for the person I'd be praying for to get them through whatever. I 'm worried for someone and there is nothing that I can do, and prayer is the only thing that I can think of.

I do realize some of gods greatest gift are unanswered prayers , but as I said the prayers are not for myself, and often for someone elses health and especially those that are sick, going to have sugery, especially (but not limited to) the elderly.

The question would have to be this....
Are you a christian and if you are then have you been saved? Now I do not know you and I am not condemning you, but salvation is an important thing that you must know you have or you don't. If you can look at me or another christian and tell us that you have been saved and you do partake in the fellowship with other christians then I would only have to assume that God is listening to his child. But, other than that I really do not want to say anything else that would be condemning to you.
God Bless you and keep the faith.

If you belong to Him and He is your Lord, yes, He hears every prayer you pray.
If someone does not belong to Him there is only one prayer that He will hear from them, their prayer of true repentance, asking Him to be their Lord and Savior.
Just going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than going to McDonalds makes you a BigMac.
Sadly, there Will be many who will stand before Him one day and tell Him all of the things they did for Him and He says,
"I will tell them, Depart from me you evildoers, I never knew you".
See, it's not about "religion", it's about a relationship with Him. You have to know Him and He has to know you.
God loves you and so do I.

God listens to everyone's prayers. He may or may not grant your prayer request, but whether He does or not has nothing to do with your relationship with Him. God blesses whom He will bless and chastises whom He will chastise. You don't have to be a Bible Thumper to be in right relationship with God. Many people who are Bible Thumpers are not in right relationship with God, because they put their faith in the fact that they are so incredibly devoted to Bible study, and it actually takes precidence in their lives to God Himself. Just be aware that God has pronounced sentence on the world for sin, and He's going to enforce the sentence soon. All your prayers will come to nothing if you don't believe what He says. Don't have to be a Bible thumper, but make sure your heart is right.

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts2:38 God listens every one's prayer in the name of Jesus irrespective of religious. But that prayer must be with truth and honesty since God knows our true condition in heart so our false prayers will not be answered. For this we need real faith in Jesus and then have to submit every thing in prayer with repentance and believe that it will be heard by God. God may help and guide you. Thanks

You don't have to go to church to have a relationship with God. He does hear you. Just remember for reasons unknown to us, sometimes His answer may be No.

As I understand it, not really. But God can do whatever He wants. So I can't say never. If you are not in Christ, there is no peace between you and Him. Christ brings that atonement for peace.
