I never made a virginity pledge, but I wish I was still a virgin.
I don't think the 90% statistic is accurate though. I think it is actually 50%. I think the overrepresentation is just an example of the "biggest dog barks loudest." Those that aren't active don't talk about it because for some (stupid) reason being a virgin is shameful in some vocal social circles. People equate virginity to inexperience with people (when it only means inexperience sexually).
I just did a go-.. a search and I got 47% are sexually active. Another one said 49%. A third said 51% in 2003. The third had 90% for those that understood sexual education (because it said only 59% of those active use condoms).

No............and I am glad I am not one or I would not have all the experience I have. I date a lot and soo far I have a little group of woman followers turning into stalkers because they now keep on calling for booty call and I am not a one person relationship when I don't consider me having anything else but special friendships with these women!!
I think virgintiy only works for religion...........I am not being rude but I think guys only like virgins because no matter what the first time always hurt although if you are a bit concern about the girl and go slow and try to be as gentle as possible she may have a good time plus you have to make sure she feels comfortable and not tooo kinky so that she feels loved.....first time is more emotional than sexual and is how you should actually be with all your partners but keep in mind a girl with experinece will tell you if you did magic or not.....a virgin instead will accept the first time as best since she has not had experience enough to tell you otherwise!!!
I preffer to impress to someone who claims to be very experienced but not a prostitute either.........you can find nice women who are not interested in long term or any term relationships and who are smart and most of all you don't have to worry about any baggage....then again you always have to worry about disease and having multiple partners you have to really get to know them before having sex and take good precautions and all but you should always do this even when someone tells you they are virgins because if you didn't know this crabs can be passed from the simple act of using a public bathroom and I think herpes can be passed that way too but not sure...........I think there is a type that can!!
Is why I try not to use any other bathroom than my own and I am soo glad I am a guy because don't have to sit unless I have to!!!

Girls who stay virgin till marriage do absolutely not nessecarely have better sexlives! How did you get that idea, what makes you think that? Why would it be better if the girl has absolutely no experience before her marriage?
If you have some experience, at least with yourself, you know what you like and don't like. That is pretty important, don't you think?
And why are you only talking about girls, do you think that girls have to stay virgin and the guys don't?
Do you know that a bad sex life is a high issue for divorces? You better know before the marriage that the guy you are about to get married to is horrible when it comes to satisfy you.
Many virgin girls have high expectations about sex after they are married. Well, the truth is that most will be disappointed. And if you don't even know yourself what you like, then how can you learn it to your husband?
Then again, do whatever you want, it is your choice and your life. If you feel that you want to stay virgin, then do so. But do it for yourself, and not because you feel that you have to do it to be a good girl.
We are living in 2007, not in the year zero.
By the way, I am a woman, and living with my man for 16 years now. We are very happy together. We are both happy that the other had sexual experiences before we got together.

I was one of the 10% that stayed a virgin until after high school. The best choice I made in my whole life! I am not a virgin anymore though, but I was 19, and it was the right time to. I planned on losing mine before I got married, however.

I'm not sure how to answer this. I was up until today. It was pretty good though, and with someone I really love and care about.
And I was one of those who said I'd wait until marraige.
