ok, I have a virus on one of my files, its called the downloader and it gave me the file name its in and I cant find it I looked and looked. What should I do?

Well you need to delete it with anti-virus software. AVG Free is the best anti-virus out there right now. Norton is total junk, uses up a lot of system resources and you have to pay for it. Avast is another free anti-virus which is also good. You can download AVG from the link below. There is absolutely no spyware.

Have you tried to restore your computer to a previous time(meaning before you had the virus)Did you run a virus scan on your computer and if so,did you isolate it? If you haven't I suggest you do.Spybot Search and Destroy is a free program you can download from www.cnet.com in downloads.Hope this helps.

Run a virus detector called Ad-aware or Spyware Terminator.
Both are free on the internet

The other virus sites are good choices...if that doesnt work try to run the virus scan in the SAFE MODE...You can get in to it by tapping the F8 key when your computer first comes on...

download adaware se and run a full system scan with it and get rid of all bad or corrupt files. i ran into a bad trojan downloader last week and there was no hope@all. so i trashed the pc. lets hope u haven't bumped into the same. good luck!!
