Why do people day that Islamic clerics have way too much power?

when Roman Catholic church ruled Europe for years................
It was the most corrupt church ever.....................
They sold indulges for money
They sold indulges for past and future crimes
They taught them self as the GOD
They are responsible for million of people dying in France, and other European countries.
They probably caused the Crusades ( don't have much info on that)
They even today are news about some bad stuff ( you know what I am talking about)

Just because SOMe 5% Muslim radicals chose to not listen to Quran or do againt it you can't just blame the whole clergy on them......... ( we don't have one, every independent church has its own clergy)

I agree, Muslim clerics are not a majority, they have their own understanding of the religion. Please note that all clerics are not extremists either. Most Muslims are not bad, peace

religion is just another regurgitation of the catholic religion.... we are taught to look at the world in terms of good and evil in terms as god and devil... these concepts come from the roman catholic church.... how easy it was to take over by being the one's to define what is good and evil what is god and satan... to see god we need look no further than nature... today we are hearing about global warming.... that is a sign of nature at work... we've also seen fear about african bees that is an omen a sign of something good.... we have all been taught by now to fear nature..... we see the signs but to us because of the bible we are taught to fear what is a positive sign... the documentary The Great Warming talks about 3 disasters...1 the great plague around a monastary or a church....natrue against catholicism... the second... south america where a familly with 3 children 2 sons dead before they reach the age for either communion or confirmation the youngest a girl lived.. again the envioronment showed 1 degree heated... the third.....about a man who has a statue of the virgin who he's had to move 3 times floods and hurricains... he doesn't realize that again nature is fighting the catholic religion....and winning.... we all have to stop living by the roman catholic laws of living and open up to nature's view... things compatible with nature.... be yourself.... free will..... everyone is of equal value in their societies.... it's time to open up to the truth about religion... and never again be ruled so foolishly by fear... so note... as it was in catholicism it was in christianity it was or is in Islam it is only man's view of if man were a god.... but never good enough for nature.

Why does the christian church hold so much power? I can ask the same question of you. If it wasn't for the church and there outdated believes, we would have advanced on stem cell research and be well on our way to saving lives.
But, no, because of the hold the church has on morons like bush.

first off, the clerics hold political power.
second, the Pope is the leader of the catholics not of all Christianity.
third: beware when the nation of Islam and the Vatican start mending fences and getting chummy. they both are allies of the evil one and will act upon, it not act as, the beast.
