i am ashamed to admit it, but i am the nutter that you see flapping around, screaming and running like the wind, it scares the life out of me when they buzz near my ears, what are you?

Neither - I'm a killer! When I was a kid and I was on a bus one day with my parents, there was a wasp flying around. Naturally as a kid I was a bit scared of it, but everybody said "Leave it alone, it won't hurt you" whereupon it landed behind my right ear and stung me. To say the least, I was not pleased ! As a direct result of that, EVERY time one comes near me, it can regard itself as being dead, because it's for certain it very soon will be ! ! !

A stayer (although at times it is hard to stay). I figure the wasp is only being nosey, and when he realises I'm not eatable he buzzes off. I think the flapping and the screaming, the running and the hysteria (my Mum being a prime candidate as is my sister-in-law) only gets the wasp in to a defencive mode, and then you are asking to get stung.

But I have to say, it is hilarious watching my family when a wasp is about. Such drama. : )

White Anglo Saxon Protestants, or wasp's, are essentially harmless unless disturbed. They can take a long time to get annoyed but you don't want to be around when they flip. It ain't pretty to watch an Angry Wasp, as many people have discovered to their chagrin.

Yes, I think I've seen you running around with an angry wasp chasing you down.

I've found that if you just ignore them they'll ignore you. They're annoying and they're so stupid because they keep coming back, just when you think the thing's flown away it turns round and comes back.

In future, try and keep calm and you'll be fine, same with bees as well.

I don't like wasps. If they come near me it is an instant death sentence.

Bees I can cope with.
