I don't think the Catholic church wants you eating chicken on Good Friday - or on any Friday during lent. so if you're trying to foll9w their rules - then - No - it's not permissable.

I was raised Catholic. I remember one Good Friday when I was about 10 years old or so. I was sitting around watching T.V. and snacking on a box of "Chicken in a Bisquit" crackers. My Mom saw me eating them - and snatched them away - telling me I couldn't have them because there was chicken broth in the ingredients. I was sure I was going to hell for eating some crackers. Good grief!! I also remember having to wear a hat to church. And at seven years old - having to confess every sin up to that point in my life - in a small dark room. The Catholic church has changed a lot - but not enough for my taste. AND - they don't want you eating chicken today.

My advice? Eat healthy and take care of your body. God gave it to you - and it's good to honor it. If you honor it with chicken - even on Good Friday - that's just fine.

so a concepts because the Pope says, we are entitled to devour fish, on solid Friday, because which could no longer considered flesh. It comes from water for this reason watery, and do not devour the different fish, they devour via their intake of water. hen is animal flesh. i know that in Philippines you keep on with the regulations of the Pope. You devour a lot of hen there and that i wager there is been a false impression. you could ask your priest, i'm declaring the reality. in case you made a mistake, then do not trouble, that wasn't planned. You under no circumstances meant to do incorrect. Take care.

Not eating something on a certain day is I believe a tenet of Catholicism. It is not biblical. Jesus said, "it is not what goes into a man's mouth that defiles him, but what comes out of it".

No. Today is a day of fasting AND abstinance. Your one full meal today should not contain any meat.
