there are so many controversies in religion all over the world, no one religion seems to be pure and undefiled, the simple fact proves it, that there is so many divisions throughout the entire world.
So, who believes they have the truth but can only support it because of what they are taught, through the traditions they have given?
What if Galatians 5 is interpreted incorrectly, that the gospel of false witnesses prevail unto this day when in the first or third century it was the dark horse? What about the jews, what if the same thing happened to them? The dark horse took power and corrupted the faith through traditions? What about Moslims? if the other religions can be found corrupted and proven, when did their teachings become interpreted wrong. Or is everything Perfectly preserved?

I think the truth matters the most- ugly or not- I would want to know the truth.
When it comes to religion though, I think that every faith may hide some of thier faults from their followers to try to keep the faith, and that is very unfortunate.

I think teaching the truth is more important the problem is different people interpret things differently. That is why there is so much division in the world. I agree I don't think anyone religion or denomination is right they all have faults. I think also maybe when the bible was translated the translators could of translated things wrong. Who is also to say that the books in the Canonized Bible are the correct books why can't other books be included. Only God is perfect man screws everything up.

To paraphrase Voltaire, it doesn't matter what you believe so long as you don't believe it completely. The shocking truth is that there IS no one religion or ideology to cover every physical, spiritual and moral truth. And when you think about it, there doesn't really have to be. Humans get kind of obsessive when we decide that there does, or that the only alternatives to absolutism are relativism and nihilism.
Anyway, a neutral perusal of any faith's scripture reveals an interesting mix of common wisdom (Be loving! Be just!), beautiful prose (often in reverence of life and the world), and ugly, outdated ways of thinking (what with the animal sacrifices, women treated as chattel, various calls to slay the nonbelievers, etc). So you're in danger if you say your doctrines are totally infallible. But if you choose to moderate (at least a little), you're in a good place.

You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. I have long left many of the traditions of my faith that I was taught growing up and even some I developed after the age of 25. I researched, studied, and sought things out on my own. The bible tells us to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. I can say my convictions or belief's are my own, based on my understanding of the Bible as God revealed it to me, not as man interpreted it to me.

I talk not of my words, or the words of others, but the words of God,only. The Words Jesus spoke where not his words, they were the Words of the Father, Jesus only spoke those words he heard the Father who art in heaven speak, the Word of God.
This is why is beg you to refrain from using Scripture or the writings of Peter, Paul, Moses, the Prophets or any one else's beside those words spoken by Jesus.
Jesus said: I will send a comforter, the Holy Ghost and he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance whatsoever I HAVE SPOKEN UNTO YOU.

I have to agree with with Jack, It's when you hear the truth and know that you know, that you know. There will be peace in your heart and mind. God Bless and Good Luck.
