There's really no rhyme or reason as to what a lot of Christians believe.

No, that is not what she is saying, she asking a question about that subject. Many believe that Christianity has driven some people away. and, of course, there is some truth to that.
But, since, I do not believe even 20% of people who say they are atheists actually are, anyway, it is not really a relevant point. Anyone can say anything as to the causes of this or or that, and anyone can believe or not believe as they wish. But most people that go against the majority way of thinking need to insert a cause, which puts blame onto others, the easy way out, really. And surely if you or anyone watch the questions and answers on here that is what most so-called atheists are saying.
The problem that comes up each time in any disagreement is that many people believe that they must disprove something in order to make they position more valid.

As a Christian,
1) I do not think that a person becomes atheist because of Christians picking on them.
2) I am not convinced that is what the young lady is asking
3) Again, I would hope those Christians who thought along those lines are in the minority. I certainly do not know of any, but I only know of the people in my church (@1,500), and then a few others here and there.
4) No , most of us would say we haven't been ignoring what the atheists say and write. At least not with regard to this.
One Christian down, I don't know how many more to go before you would have a supportable survey.

Atheism is relatively new compared to people believing in the existence of God. It came about in the 14th century when inverntions started to grow. Everything was a miracle and a mystery for people who cannot understand every phenomenon they saw in the early age of man. The religions found comfort in that as all God's work or the devil's destructions. With those beliefs injected to the ignorant souls, many opportunists were able to control their minds which is still being practiced in these generation. They have to make every effort to disprove that science have taken over those miracles and mysteries because it converted many into disbelieving the existence of God. The ignorants who have the vital role in making these religions rich and influential are now a big threat to the downfall of the deceivers. They loudly express that human progress are losing people's moral identities and becoming decadent blaming the Atheists for it. The fact is they cannot afford to lose those people who are the only reasons why they live luxuriously in their lives while the victims of ignorance continue to defend the things they do not really understand.
I believe in God for the reason that I feel His presence in me but I also know that religions which should have been the roads to know His presence, have also been the roads to many deceptive teachings for their own selfish gains. They are the ones who made those Atheists.

The girl is obviously a bit misinformed, or at least is not completely informed, about what atheism is or how skepticism leads to a position of atheism. That said, I do think that a lot of atheists and agnostics start out by questioning the validity of the religion they have been raised in, and that one of the things that calls that validity into question is the hypocrisy of its followers. But that's just one little part of it; there are so many reasons to conclude that Christianity is a myth. Hypocrisy is just one of them.

I don't think Christians necessarily think this, but to be fair- many atheists on R&S say this. They talk about the hypocrisy of Christians and the damage that they see theistic religion doing in the world and say "that is one of the reasons I decided there that God does not exist" or something like that. That is not what ALL atheists say, but you could come away from R&S with that impression.

They are taught that this is why people become Atheists. They have to set a good example so they won't become a "stumbling block" to others. They must be a beacon the hill to lead others to Jesus and if they fail this, others become bitter and go to hell. It's a huge responsibility - carries a lot of guilt and they whip the true believers with it often :(

If you can believe a 2000 year old book has the answer to all things and is literally true then you will believe anything - have you tried selling double glazing to them? Just find a passage from the bible which might be talking about double glazing and BINGO - sale

It's not the fault of Christians that there are athiests. Jesus didn't change everyone's mind when He was in the world. So why would we expect to change everyone's mind even with the best behavior?
Atheists have been in the world longer that Christians have!

Dude, they believe a 2000+ year old book that tells them that two people were magically poofed to earth from dirt & ribs! They're going to believe anything else they're told to believe as well. They are not capable of independant thought.... If they were... They would be atheists. I do not hold it against them for being so closed-minded & arrogant. They have special needs that religion caters to.
Of course they ignore everything we say & write because to them we are just tools of the devil trying to get them to abandon their faith. They're a bunch of lunatics!

No. it is because of the fact Christians have a greater direct and enhanced consequence on our lives than the different faith. the quantity we take subject with human beings is in direct share to the quantity that those human beings impact our lives. And no, we are unlikely to "save our opinion to ourselves". in case you desire to no longer pay attention a peep out human beings anymore, then you certainly are making a promise to us suited this minute that your non secular ideals will by no ability harm yet another person ever back, or impact MY existence and my rights ever back. of direction, you may no longer make that promise, so do no longer carry your breath waiting for us to "save our evaluations to ourself" approximately that actuality.
