That doesn't make sense at all,

No I haven't misread it, it says it's made of 145% pork.
I read this 2 years ago, and again today

I assume you're referring to pepperoni.

You're right, it makes no sense that anything could contain more than 100% of anything. It's probably really 45%, and there's a typo on the label.

Or maybe the pigs are college football players, and their coach told them to ALWAYS give 145%.

They're not.
100% is the maximum amount that anything can be made of. Pepperoni is obviously not a solid piece of pork, so you've misread the label or misunderstood something.

I am guessing that you mean pepperoni! It is pure meat with spices, it sounds like a typo on the package. Considering it should only be 100%.
