Good Friday is a day set apart to remember what Jesus Christ did for us all by dying so that everyone could be free from sin and able to know God personally. I think about these things a lot throughout the whole year, but this day is just a special time to focus on it corporately with fellow followers of Christ.
God bless you this Easter

Good Friday is the most part of the Easter celebration that I look forward too every year. It is day 2 of the triduum and although I don't like being told how to live my life by hordes of hypocrites, I still hold it close in my heart as part of my faith.

Means I have a harder time doing my job (on the phone with insurance companies) because nobody is open. And that just reminds me of the fact that I don't have today off, and that gets me aggravated even though there is no religious attachment for the holiday for me, i still am jealous these other people get to stay home and be fat.

It means my kids are out of school and I'll probably open a bottle of wine much earlier than the average Friday!

Good Friday is what Robinson Crusoe said to his companion every time he did something right. Bad Friday is what he said when he screwed up.

Its a day of reflection for me. It reminds me of how my Savior was taken to Golgotha Hill and persecuted for sins he did not commit so "I"-little of me could have a right to the tree of Life. It makes me grateful and hopeful.
