I feel as though I'm a victim of spiritual warfare at the minute, I really feel as though the devil has a strong hold over me and is trying to do everything possible to prevent me from finding my way back to God. I just wondered if anyone else had been through something similar, and if so - how did you get over it? How did you manage to break the hold that the devil had and find your way back to God?

You have to fast and pray. Find yourself in a church where they believe in spiritual warfare and know how to battle against it. I dont know where you are but TBN gospel network will pray with you over the phone. Keep yourself away from psychics, tarot cards, Ouiji boards or any thing of that nature because spirits and demons attach themselves to those things or people. Until then whenever you feel like your under attack say: Satan in the name of JESUS I rebuke you. I send you and your demons back to the pit of hell you have no power over me. I am covered by the blood of JESUS! or if you can't say anything else say: JESUS! JESUS! JESUS! over and over as loud as you can. It is said that devils flee when they hear the name JESUS because there is power in His name. Hallelujah! Please take comfort in knowing that if the devil is riding you that hard, you must be doing something right. Or God must have a great plan for your life. If you were out in the world goofin off drinking and drugging, the devil wouldn't bother you 'cause your already rebelling against God. I will pray for and with you. Read the word (Bible) and stand firm on the name of JESUS.

Christians have this battle constantly. Just when you think that everything is going GREAT satan steps in and twists your life again. GOD is the only way to rid your life of satan. Read, study, and continue to obey GOD's WILL and satan will step away from you. I won't say that it will be easy or quick but if you need to talk with other Christians about it and you don't have someone close to home, there are several of us on this site that would be glad to email messages with you at any time. Have a great weekend and a wonderful Lord's Day. GOD is always there. You may speak directly with HIM thru prayer.

GOD says there is a satan. satan is listed in the Bible. He was a fallen angel and has been causing strife on earth since Eve's temptation in the Garden. Why would you think that man created him if he is listed in GOD's HOLY WORD? It sounds to me like you need to be studying the BIBLE a little more than you have been. May I assist you in doing so? The Christian faith is reaping what's sowed at the same time as it persecuted all the different religions and made "Holy" wars upon human beings of different faiths. and also you should re-examine The Da Vinci Code because it would not attack Christ, it attacks the Church. Well sure, on that spiritual level, I think everybody has had some experience with that.
Breaking the hold could mean needing repentance, it could mean needing to leave some behaviors or relationships behind.
Most often I find simply placing myself "in the path of the Holy Spirit" is very helpful. The trick is that light and dark can't exist in the same place at the same time, so you put yourself in situations of "light." That just means that your activities, media, friendships are ones that you feel are uplifting, and invite that feeling of goodness, spirituality, and light.

As christians we all are subject to spiritual warfare if you are saved or born again the devil can 't have a hold on you . You are a child of God . He has given you the power to over come the devil . All you have to do in cast him back where he came from in christ name. There are may scriptures in the bible to help you. i would keep myself in daily prayer ,listening to tapes whatever. you just remember you are god's child the devil has no authority over you. god bless you.

We all are, not many people recognise it, and the ones who do call it something else. You must recognise it for what it is, break its grip by fighting it, surrounding yoruself with people who will build you up. Edify your soul, study, keep away from the things that get you under attack in the first place, become the master of your own life and not the master of the voice of temptation.
The key is having people around you who influence you, listening to music that influences you, changing the way you live, controlling your anger, your emotions, not letting him have a foothold.
If that fails seek authority and seek their guidance.

Don't look at the world in a negative way, look at the positive things in your life and around you, it is easy to think every negative thing is an attack from the devil, but it is just the way you have viewed things. Look at the positives, everyone else has negative things in their life, its how you deal with them i.e view them and how you react to them that is different. Take it from there and continue with your moral ways

Unfortunately it sounds like you need help. And not the "help" of some charismatic church where they'll sing at you and proclaim you cured. No, you need some actual psychiatric help. Go and see a doctor as soon as you can and get yourself referred. This is all in your mind and the sooner you get some professional help, the better.

there is a war going on in the spirit..... so anyone born sensitive or drawn into it for what ever reason feels it.... I don't know what you see as god... but nature is and religions especially Catholicism and christianity are against him.... they use words like getting back to god meaning getting back to religion.... be yourself.... work with nature...... your nature is being yourself.... do things you would normally do to take care of your body..... all these things..... look for peaceful solutions to stresses.... rely on nature natural medicines... support peace, justice and nature where ever you can... these are the things that help us all....
