I have the perfect thing! I know that this sounds kinda weird, but its great and colorful , and you can even take it in the car!
Okay you chould be able to find jell-o molds that are shaped like easter egg, its the same shape as an egg and the mold is kinda like an ice cube tray with a top and a bottom, get diffrent colors of jell-o like green, purple, yellow, orange you know spring colors and then make them individualy and put them into the mold(the mold should be able to make about 12 eggs at a time) you should put maybe like different colors in one batch. Then let it refregerate you should follow the jigglers recipe on the box. At your grandparents house you could make it there if you have 2 or 3 hours before you actually have dinner, that way you wont have to worry about the car. Just dont forget the jello mix and mold!
HAPPY EASTER!

Banana Pudding!
Its awesome and so easy to make.
1 Box of Nilla Wafers
4-5 Bananas (more or less if you like or dont really like bananas)
Milk
Sugar
1 container of whipped topping
Pre-heat Oven to 350
In a glass pan (see through is best) place one layer of Wafers
crumble a handful and sprinkle over the layer (so it gets in the empty spaces)
Add a layer of bananas
Continue until you run out, or its as big as you can get it.
In a cup add about a cup and a half, maybe two cups of Milk.
Add sugar until the milk is sweet enough for you (some people like it sweeter some people not so sweet)
Pour milk over layers of bananas and wafers.
(I like to tilt the pan around until I feel that the wafers have soaked up a good amount of milk)
Place in oven for 20-25 Mins
Remove from oven and place into fridge. When cool (it wont be very hot when it comes out the oven) add whipped topping and either serve or put back into the fridge until ready to serve.

This will work if you can use your grandmas stove top and a sauce pan for about 15 minutes.
You will need
1 Angel food bundt cake or small sponge cake cups
fresh peaches (1 per person)
1 scoop French Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
2 oz. Ameretto DiSaranno
1 tblsp butter
1 tblsp ground cinnamon
Before you go,
peel and slice peaches, put in covered bowl or large zip lock bag with 2 tblsp brown sugar for each peach. add cinnamon, let soak.
Over night in fridge is best
At grandmas, melt butter in large pan, add peaches and sautee until edge of slice starts to carmelize. Pour on Ameretto.
Put scoop of ice cream in sponge cake cup or on slice of angel-food cake, add peaches.
Whipped topping optional.
add variety as your taste dictates, ie:shredded coconut, crushed nuts, ginger snap pieces, cinammon crisp crumbs, crushed cereals.so many things to try

Layered Strawberry Cake
1 cup half and half
1/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 eggs
1 3/4 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 dash salt
16 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 pint whipping cream
1 pint fresh strawberries, cleaned, sliced
Heat half & half in a saucepan until boiling, add butter and set aside. In a bowl blend sugar, vanilla and eggs, beat at high speed until mixture is very light and fluffy. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt, add egg mixture, then add half & half mixture, mixing well after each addition.
Pour batter into a well greased and floured springform pan. Bake at 350ºF for 55 to 60 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean. Cool slightly and remove from pan. Let cool completely then cut cake into three even layers. Brush away any loose crumbs.
Whip the cream cheese until very smooth, beat in the powdered sugar and whipping cream, until mixture is creamy and fluffy. You may add a few drops of food coloring if desired to tint frosting. Spread frosting between each layer, place sliced strawberries on each layer. Then spread remaining frosting on top and sides of assembled cake. Garnish with strawberries on top and on sides.
