What religion teaches that? are you sure it was 300?
I've heard of religions saying the earth is only a few thousand years old, but hundreds... never.
But I'm glad you asked. We like to blame satan for a lot of crazy stuff that has nothing to do with him. Remember that the Bible was written by human hands and because of that some of the stuff in there is man's interpretation of the world he saw. Though God may have been a devine influence in the writing of of Biblical texts, he did not dictate it directly as some seem to think.
Don't let yourself be fooled into being ignorant for religions sake. It's perfectly possible to believe that science is correct in saying that the earth is millions or billions of years old, and still believe that God created it.
I'd still like to know who thinks the earth is 300 years old though!

And you heard this from? I hope it wasn't from your 4-year-old niece. Great source for questions (Uncle, why ....?) but not a great source for scientific information.
No, Earth could be as old as you make it, from millions of years to as little as 9 000 years. And this is according to Christian beliefs. Hindus have that age as millions of years.
Most Christians believe that LIFE on Earth as we know it is certainly not older than 10 000 years.

Well, the sun is older than the planets. Earth is pretty young o.o compared to the sun if it was 300.

Oh, yes. That's absolutely true.
All those 'scientists' will tell you you're wrong, but that's because they're Godless, and minions of Satan.
Don't listen to them.
Read your bible (just ignore anything to do with dates in it, that's been planted there by Satan, too).
And don't listen to any music except Amy Grant.

In our years or in GOD’S YEARS?
If you want to believe this idiotic theory of
Satan planting bones, go ahead.
For me it is incredible to what ends and measures
some religious zealots go to make us believe their
horrible ideas.
300 years ago (even thousands of years ago)
there were a number of great countries and
people who were more advanced, enlightened
and civilized than today’s fanatics with such
queer theories.

That is bull since the Christian bible dates back to 2000 years ago. Whoever told you that has no idea what they are talking about.

if each year is a million years, then yes, although, I've heard it's more like 4 or 5 hundred if that's the case.
