No, its just everyone else's culture is being minimized as others are brought in. Their is still a white, black, latin, and other cultures that are still apparent today. Above racial cultures, their are regional cultures. The South, North, Midwest, and California all have their own distinct cultures.

What /is/ American culture, if not a big melting pot? American was built with immigrants. There are aspects of the culture that is European, Asia, African, and even, yes, Mexican. Whether it be the architecture, the food, or even the vernacular, American culture isn't just one thing.

What culture? For centuries America is the only country in the world that has an ever changing culture that depicts the people that live here, so we have no culture as per se like for example Chinese or African cultures that withstood B.C days, because of the diversity of our people.

This is America, we are all descendants of immigrants. It hasn't affected my personal life, and we are a very mixed culture so I have trouble understanding that school of thought.
