Sometimes you can get an "emergency loan" from the social service office in your area...it's paid back when you get back on your feet...or, try a single parent support group for ideas. If you haven't gotten 30 days notice of eviction...then you have 30 days to locate new housing...not 3 days! Unless, you have been on eviction notice for the last 3 months or something.
If you are in the position that you strongly believe this eviction date is unfair, incorrect etc., contact the Landlord Tenancy Association in your area and explain to them...they can tell you what recourse you have and what your rights are as a tenant.
Also, try offering the 400 and see if they will allow you to get the rest to them over the next week or so...if you have offered to pay almost all the rent they cannot legally kick you out...they will have refused to accept your cooperation and in that case they are acting unlawfully. If they accept..make certain you get a written receipt that indicates the $400 is for the rent for Apr (or the month it's for).
If unfortunately, you have been putting the rent off for the past few months or more and the landlord has been trying to work with you and is now unable to do so any longer because he feels it is clear you cannot keep your end of the lease requirements up to date despite repeated opportunities and understanding by the landlord...then the likelihood he'll change his mind without the full complete amount paid to him...may be slim
Whatever the case hope this works out for you

Ask your parents for help. Perhaps talk to the renters to ask to pay 50% and have time for the other 50%? Stop using long distance or get a cheap telephone card to do it (cheap is about 3 cents per minute, save the PIN elsewhere in case you lose the telephone card). Try to get a job where you can take your baby to work or if you trust your parents maybe get help caring for her.
Really I don't know. Got some friends you can ask to room with?

Do you receive child support?
If you are paying your rent late, your landlord does have the right to evict you. However, there is an eviction process they have to go through. Look up Landlord/Tenancy Rights in your local area.

I can understand completely, I don' t have any kids, and I'm barely surviving. Is there a family member who can help you out? Maybe taking on a part time job could also help, I'm having to face that myself....

have you thought of women's aid programs like wic (women, infant, children) they will help you out with the bills. or if you don't have any where to go look into women's shelters in your area.
