i have and love good tattoos.

1. i got my first three tattoos when i was 18. i no longer have them, they have been covered up. (i'll explain on #4) but i also have three tattoos all gotten last year.
2. my first three tattoos were a) my name in korean b) a psychadelic mushroom c) a black dragon
the new ones are a) a koi swimming up a waterfall with lotus flowers, lava rocks and waves. at the bottom there is a sea turtle swimming under the waterfall. b) a skull
c) a korean takeout box with a fortune cookie
3. the first three i got when i was 18 years old. the last three i got beginning on march 14th 2006 and most recently two weeks ago (still working on finishing one of them)
4. i'll say that i have never "regretted" actually getting a tattoo but i have regretted 1. not really really thinking about what i wanted before getting it. 2. (the most important thing) not researching artists before getting a tattoo. when i was 18 i had no idea that not all tattoo artists are talented. i thought one was just as good as the other. i was WRONG! due to that i have since had my old tattoos covered up with great custom tattoos from an artist that i have actually become friends with.

i hope that has helped.

Ok, so i have 6 tatts so i deff. can answer lol.

1. I got one when i was 18 the rest were 20 and up to now that im 23
2. I have a butterfly on my ankle, my name above it, on my inner ankles i have Japanese Kanji letters, I have a Nautical star on my right thigh and a star on my right wrist.
3. I got them because i always wanted tatts and i love them
4. No i never regretted any of them and i will not regret the next ones that i get. I plan to get at least 2 or 3 more.

My suggestion is to think really hard before you pick what you want and make sure you go to a good artist. You will be happy with your results. Just make sure its what you really want.

Good Luck!

I have a half sleeve and 8 other tattoos as well. I dont regret them. They turned out good. None of them mean anything to me. I get tattooed because I like it. The only tattoo that means something is the leo sign on the back of my neck(its my husbands sign). My half sleeve is pirate themed. I have a ship, a cupie doll(in pirate clothing complete with the eye patch), a death moth, water, a dead fish. It doesnt mean anything, I just like pirates so I got it.

1.Never, and am not planning to forever brand myself like that
2.N/A
3.I can't see why anyone would have some ink drawing on their body to be stuck with forever. It would get tiring if you get when you're 20 and still have to see it at 85 on your now wrinkly skin which no longer looks attractive but more like a old motorcycle riding wannabe.
4. I probably would regret getting one if I got one and that is the plain and simple truth. It is tacky, trashy, unclassy, and unbecoming on ANYONE. If it is plainly visible, it may decrease your chance of getting into an ivy league university and landing a great, profession, high-paying job because tattoos are not a positive sign.
