As far as I am concerned taking a life is never ever an acceptable course of action. I mean, what makes us think that we have that right? And to punish someone for murder by murdering them? Doesn't that seem just a tiny bit hypocritical? It would be like beating your child for hitting his/her sibling. It just doesn't make sense to me. Yes, there are some evil people in this world, and I totally agree that they should not be left to run amuck amongst the rest of us, but..who died and made us God???? I am an agnostic. So it's not some sort of religious thing. It's just that I believe that life is precious. And that we are not in charge here, we are just along for the ride. Besides, innocent people do end up on death row. Imagine if that were you?

I don't think so in most cases. However there are some crimes for which I think death is the only option--and I don't think just any death. That Couey guy kept that little girl for four days, raping her, and then buried her alive in trash bags while she was still alive.

I think they should die the way they killed their victims.

And in Kansas, two brothers forced five roommates to have sex with each other (which didn't work out well, as you can imaine), then robbed them and executed them in a soccer field. One survived because of a barrette.

People like these sould not be taking air.

I disagree.
Even the God of the Bible disagrees.
He set up that system, on a temporary basis, simply to demonstrate that man cannot prove himself righteous by works.
Does that mean anything to you?
The 1500 years of that system showed we must rely on undeserved kindness to get back an approved state.
Thanks to that period, nobody can dispute.

Capital punishment is morally indefensible and I defy anyone who claims that it is.
